Press release confirms it for Tacoma, Tundra and 4 Runner. And don't say this is old news, everything has been speculation until now!

So what are the differences with the exception of the wheels?

"Based on Limited-trim models, these body-on-frame vehicles are all graced with black leather seating surfaces, plus plenty of blacked out exterior trim, including mirror caps and door handles. Their grilles are treated to a dark chrome finish as well.

Giving customers some choice, rear- or four-wheel drive is on the menu with each of these vehicles, though no performance or powertrain alterations have been made.

The Tacoma Nightshade rolls on dark-finished 18-inch alloy wheels. Its exhaust tip and fog-light bezels are blacked out and it gets a new grill insert.

Like its smaller sibling, the Tundra Nightshade's wheels and exhaust tip have been blackened like the flue of a woodburning stove after a long, cold winter. Similarly, the Sequoia Nightshade features an array of blacked-out components, from its lower grille and body moldings to the fog-light surrounds and exterior badges.

Fortunately, these vehicles are not entirely black. Yes, you can get them all in Midnight Black Metallic or Magnetic Gray Metallic paint colors, but the Tacoma and Tundra are also both available in an extra-cost hue called Windchill Pearl. The Tundra can also be had in Super White, while the nightshade-ified Sequoia is offered in an additional color called Blizzard Pearl.

As for production, Toyota is planning on building 5,000 Nightshade-edition models of both the Tacoma and Tundra, but only 2,500 copies of the Sequoia are planned." Source

So sounds like nothing real special. Wonder what the option will add to the MSRP?

Nightshade editions of the Camry and Corolla are $700 more compared to the SE trims they're based on. So something similar/comparable, I imagine.

Basically a Limited with a different version of the 18-19 TRD grille and glossy black bits all around.

The special color is an interesting touch.

Maybe it’s just the picture, but that emblem looks more matte than usual. If that’s the case, that will be the perfect addition to the 2020 grills to make them look infinitely better.

Nice. They have been selling Nightshade 4runner's in Canada for 2 years now. I hope the Taco headlights are all blacked out so i can order a set.

Is that a Special Matte Black paint or just Midnight Black Metallic in low lighting?

The latter. It is going to get a special white, however.

Yeah, it's a shame that there are not options for the TRD trucks. The SX package for the SR and the SR5 with it's new standard black alloy wheels look good.

The OP incorrectly stated the 4Runner as that has indeed been on sale with the Nightshade package since 2019. The Sequioa is the latest vehicle to get the trim alongside the Tundra and Taco for 2021
