Although the illustration is partly cut off, Yeah, nothin’ unusual about a dab of sealer right there. Especially if it’s near water jacket.

Not sure what that is referring too. When I did mine I’m 99% sure I didn’t use any. Never did on the older Toyota’s either.

Thats where the timing cover is going to lay across the block and heads. The hg doesn't end exactly where the heads end, there may be a small gap there. The silicone will squeeze out and help fill in the gap.

Its kinda of like doing a oil pan gasket. You put a dab of silicone where the block and front cover meet. If there is a housing that holds the front (like an oil pump) or rear main seal, you would put a dab where that meets the block too.

    Make sense?

At the 3 way area where the block/heads/timing cover meet.

Hold the front cover up to the block without the heads on and you'll see

They are talking about applying a bead of FIPG 2.5 to 3 mm in diameter and approximately 10 to 15 mm long in each of the areas circled in red on the picture below.

No. Like in the two areas I circled on each head. And as illustrated in the drawing that you posted. I mean you could probably put it all the way across on both heads, but it will be messy.

Where the Head Gasket meets the Timing Cover on the front of the engine on both heads is what the manual instructions call for

Where the timing cover will touch when its mounted. Just a dab. Its not supposed to supplement the head to block seal, its supposed to squeeze out into the space where the 3 pieces of metal are going to meet.

    20200813_224941.jpg

Honestly you could just torque the heads down gaskets only and then just put a dab on each crack when you mount the timing cover. Its going to have a bead all the way around the cover anyway. If you're laying the bead correctly there will be plenty of silicone to fill the gap

On sides obviously I will put sealant for timing chain cover after putting back heads but on horizontal side the block surface I will put rtv sealant as suggested by jimmyh.

Look at the timing cover. I don't think it touches here.
