Currently on Falken at3 275s on 16in fuel wheels. I have a 1.5in lift on the front. They did not last 50k as well as I thought they would but then again I'm pretty hard on tires. i Loved the performance of the Falkens in mud and off-road, in gravel or even sand etc. They did (imo) bad in the snow and weren't good for everyday commuting and highway driving (and I know they're designed to be mediocre at everything). So basically I don't want them again.

I live in Colorado and do a lot of highway commuting, in Denver and in the mountains. I want something that does well in bad road conditions but also is good for highway driving. I do like the size of my falkens a lot. The truck just feels funner to drive with bigger tires, i just think I want something different than the Falkens. I've had Bf goodrichs on a 4runner and they sucked imo

Yes I know there are lots of tire posts etc but I just want some opinions and suggestions

    TIA

Coopers have always been good to me, most of them have great ratings in inclement weather settings. I currently have the Discoverer AT3 LTs, been great on the commute, road trip to Yellowstone and a couple of trips up to Colorado. Lots of trail time up in the New Mexico mountains and out in the desert too. Never skipped a beat.

The Discoverer AT3 XLT is a bit more rugged and look like they would be comparable to the Falken AT3s.

I currently have the Cooper AT3 XLT. They're good tires. I've also had the Cooper ST Maxx and ST Pro.

Got these Korean made C rated BFG lookalike tires for $137 a year back. Price has gone up to $170’s. They ride good and balanced well. Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T 265/70R17.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Michelin LTX A/T 2’s.

Not the sexiest, most aggressive tread out there, but it’s a damn good tire IMO.

michelin defenders, would take them over almost any a/t tire in snow, and cant be beat for highway. If you want aggressive looking theyre not for you but hard to beat for all around highway and snow. I take function over looks most of the time.

One that often gets overlooked is the General Grabber ATX. I've been running them here in Wisconsin for over a year and more than 20k and they get my seal of approval. Have yet to find conditions where they are lacking. Previously had BFG KO2s (frankly they suck IMO) and Duratracs (more mud terrain than all terrain and feel "floaty") and the Grabbers for me outperform both of those.

Edit: forgot some things. You mentioned highway and bad conditions. Grabbers have handled all our Wisconsin snow and never left me feeling like they are the weak link. If the 200lb gorilla behind the steering wheel knows how to drive these won't be the problem. In more ideal conditions they feel planted, sticky, and predictable. Highway mileage I have data in my own spreadsheets since I got the truck 2 years ago and the Grabbers net me a couple extra MPGs over the other models I mentioned. Also very quiet on the road.
