Kumho are rates for high millage. Since they are new I guess nobody can tell but but this was a pros for me when I decided to get them. I have notice a slight decrease in mpg but I went one size up and i'm doing more city driving too...

Ok so are the new Kumho AT51 tires offered in a true C load? I have been getting conflicting info on this as well as the weight of the tire.

I know mine are P265/70R16.... And by that I think they are C rated but I can be wrong and if so I would like someone to correct me :p where I ordered it they said it was 39lbs per tire in my size...

The Kumho Road Venture is a very interesting tire to me. I put a set of Kumhos on my S10 in high school and they were GREAT tires, and half the money of BFG. Looking at the sidewall of this tire, it seems like it would be great in snow. That is my primary concern about this tire. Anyone have experiance with it driving on snow and ice? Is it pretty decent?

If so, the P version of this (C-load) is probably my next tire, after my LTX AT2s wear out. Those are great tires too...but these Kumhos are almost HALF the price!

I got the Kumho Road Venture AT51 on my truck and they are winter rated. I tried them on snow and ice while going ice fishing and they were great. Snow was starting to melt tho so I don't have a lot of experience with them on snow.

Ok. Make sure you post again in this thread after the Your first good snowstorm.

I've had my LTX AT2s for three winters now, they are great in snow. These Kumos are probably even better

I'm considering this size also. I think it would fit with minimal rubbing, unlike a 285. Unfortunately I would have to switch out my rims! Are tire mfg'r listening? Can someone make a 275/75/16 in a good AT load C tire? I dont want a heavy ass load E 285 although they look great on a lifted Tacoma.
Post up more pics of these Kumho AT51's mounted please. I want to see the LT versions, they are usually a little more aggressive like the Toyo AT II's.

I recently installed a set of Kumho AT51s on my Tacoma and I'm very impressed by how quiet they are (for an A/T tire) and how well they ride and handle. Haven't had them in adverse conditions yet, but will post a follow-up when I do.DSCN0059.jpg DSCN0055.jpg

They're 245/75/16. Just got them at tirebuyer.com and they had a $80.00 rebate on 4 tires.

Thanks for the compliment Mush Mouse. The Baja rims were on it when I bought it, but I bought it used. I assumed that they were stock, but I don't know for sure.
I will update on performance when I get some miles and all weather use on the Kumhos. I am very impressed with them so far in terms of driveability, and how quiet they are, even at highway speed. I had a set of Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my previous SUV and the Kumhos are much quieter than the Hankooks.

thanx I debating getting the Michelin ms2 or these kumho at51 for my sr5 2.7l in the 245/75/16 size. the Baja rims are an Toyota rim available thru Toyota corp aren't a standard issue rim by them you can buy them thru the parts dept. but are extremely very very expensive but are really good looking and sought after by a lot of Tacoma owners including me, just out of my price range.

Thanks for the update on the Baja wheels. I knew I had not seen many, but didn't know that they were aftermarket Toyota Parts Dept. wheels. When I got the truck, I did a lot of searching on TW before I found a photo of them and found that they were called Baja wheels. I really like them too and am happy that they were on the truck when I bought it.

I think that they have a $80.00 rebate on the purchase of 4 tires, but it may expire on 10/31/16. I really like mine, can't believe how quite they are.

I put a set of the 10 ply Kumho's on my old Tacoma, I ran them all last winter, I didn't switch them out for my winter tires, I thought they where great. I even pulled out a 1/2" bolt that went from the bottom through the sidewall, no flat, I would definitely try them again. I've had my 2016 for 6 weeks or so and had to have one of those kevlar things that came with the truck fixed already, the only thing they could find was a tiny piece of aluminum that must have been produced in manufacturing.
