new taco with big dreams

Hi im brand new to this forum and was hoping for a little help on finding out what kind of off-road tires and rims i should get. I have a 2002 prerunner xtra cab stock. If anyone could give me a little help that would be tight.

welcome to tw!! many different tires to choose from..........bfg at, bridgestone dueler at revo's, goodyear wrangler silent armor, toyo open country, mikey thompson........just depends on what kind of ride/tread you want. as for rims......what do you have in mind?? wanna stay close to stock??

As far as my budget there really isnt much of one, although im not really looking for the best of the best either. im really looking for the rims to be black if i can if not its fine i plan on painting them if i cant find the one i want in black. Im not really going for only off-roading since i only have a 2 wheel drive truck but i want something that has a lot of traction when i want to get out on the local trails. And im not really planning staying very close to stock either.

31/10.5 I Think

 

I would recommend an all-terrain tire, and black steel wheels would probably be the cheapest you'll find, however with the four-piston calipers, many don't fit right without spacers. The wheels you'll find on the link tacomaman06 gave you will fit without issue.

 

sorry if i sound stupid but what size tires (going as big as possible) would fit on the 15x8 rims suggested by tacomaman06. If possible give link?

 

Without a lift, I wouldn't go bigger than 31/10.5/15.
