Sorry your thread turned into a bit of a cluster, some kids just don't get it and at some point they just need to be ignored.

But back on the subject, (and for future reference) did you by chance hit up the parts dept to inquire about a price/part #? I called my local dealer today and asked my guy about the XSP Tacoma, and he replied back with "huh, XSP"?? Sounds like it hasn't hit this dealer yet because he obviously hadn't heard of it. I'd be curious to see how it would look painted body color to match the rest of the bumper.

i answed his question back on the first page. its as simple as calling trdpartsforyou.com

or a dealership parts dept. the issue i believe the op will run into is toyota probably won't sell it to him cause it "belongs" on this horrible special education edition tacoma.

everyone is just horrified that this is what toyota is rolling out in 2012. i can't really blame them i love the toyota trucks i have had a thing for them since 1985 :) but, i won't anymore if they turn my favorite pickup into a joke.

wheres the solid axle? wheres the d4d diesel?? where is the stick operated transfer case like the fj has??? they seem to be on a mission to keep watering down our favorite truck until it no longer can handle anything but, cruising around town just my .02

edit: and plastic caged wheel bearings on a 4x4 :/ fuck you can't even go buy a good set of wheel bearing if you want to

Americans have no love for diesel. Even as I - as strong a diesel advocate as you will find - I have to admit that a diesel would be a pain in my ass to fuel and maintain. My neighbors - nice as they are - would never bother in a thousand million years. There are 12 of them and one of me. Surely Toyota is not bad at math.

As for a manual transfer case... you pussy crybabies whine like hell over a manual gearbox. Shifting is so hard! It makes you left leg hurt! You can't text "cheetos" to 100039383 to win and stuff your face with a double McBacon and put on your Mascara while driving a stick! I need TSB springs or the throwout bearing will make by DRL burn out at the mall!

Bunch of crybabies on this forum.

No wonder Toyota is chasing the bro-dude braaap crowd - they get twice the money for half the whining.

    I disagree with this.

There is room at the inn for the showboat mall crawlers and the people who will actually ponder whether limb risers are a good investment. and all in between.

No matter what Toyota does, I am going to modify the truck suit my needs. I expect others will do the same.

in the other thread the guy said the sticker price was almost like 40k right? idk dude that just seems like a lot of money for a scoop held on with double sided tape lol.

in recent years toyota seems to like rolling out these special editions that have no real substance meaning theres nothing really to distinguish them from other models that already exist. they sell though i guess i'm not arguing that i'm just saying they won't ever sell one to me.

No, I didn't say I like it. Point in fact, I don't. But this aint about me and my preferences. Toyota has sent me three new owner surveys and they still haven't delivered a D4D diesel despite my protestations. And so on. I suspect that Toyota doesn't care about what I think.

Anyway, my larger point is that the Tacoma doesn't have to be your ultimate truck. Toyota needs to sell enough of them to justify having made them in the first place and a bit more so the CEO and board can get million dollar bonuses. A broad net helps catch more fish and all that.

After all this time. Did you found the part? I'm looking for it too, but I can't find it.

Once I found out it's plastic I gave up. I think it was made by bushwacker.

I would also like to know where I can get one of these. I have a scratch on my factory piece and would like to cover it up. Can't find it anywhere.
