Hello. New to me 2002 Tacoma v6 auto 4x4. After driving a couple hundred miles, I have noticed small amounts of antifreeze dripping from the radiator. The radiator is a Harrison( I’m guessing not original). I am going to replace with a OEM radiator. Part # 16400-75181. According to the Toyota parts guy that is the only OE radiator availability for that year.
Anyone out there that has recent experience obtaining a new OE radiator? I would think about a quality aftermarket radiator, but is “quality” even possible now a days?
    Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks.

    Just buy OEM

They don't vary by year, they vary by transmission and engine

Be easy for you since you've got an auto; it's the manual guys that usually buy a radiator for an auto and just plug up the holes

    Harrison is OE.

Denso will be the go to radiator IMO.

I agree with the buy a OEM radiator. The only thing I am not sold on is that the one my local dealership can get has the overflow port plumed pointing towards the engine. Where the OEM radiators I’ve seen have the overflow port pointing towards the overflow bottle. Probably not a big deal. But it doesn’t feel right…

And the new OEM radiator is a Japanese Denso at $400. The Chinese Denso is about $250.

It's common that the expansion tank begins to split with age thus sending coolant all over the engine bay

My old one when I replaced it some years back

I believe mine is splitting from the bottom. Order has just been placed with rock auto. Thanks! You saved me a couple hundred dollars.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
As long as I can keep my Copper /Brass radiators going that is all I will ever use.

Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
It doesn't list one for the manual on rockauto. I know there is a slight height difference between the auto and manual. Both work but I am looking at replacing mine as well. I have a manual trans though.

Resurecting this as it so closely applies to my situation. RockAuto has lots of rads listed and none of them seem to match my specs. core sizes 1/4 or 11/16 different than what I measure mine to be , not sure sometimes if "core size" = width or height Don't see Manual-V6-4wd as a spec combo listed for any of them. Mine measures 26"W and 21"T not including the black plastic cap or bottom. Pretty sure it is original. Still cant figure out which i the correct replacement. If anyone has a source and P/N for this feature combo, Id love to hear it.

I think you'll be fine with any that measure as tall or taller than your existing one. The Automatic transmission versions work just fine for a manual truck, you simply don't utilize the bottom integrated transmission cooler portion.

I just recently helped a friend who was stranded with a cracked radiator (on his '98 Tacoma - V6/5spd), and simply bought the biggest automatic transmission version offered at O'Reilly's (figured more cooling capacity). It fit perfect and worked just fine.

Thanks, i suspect that width is more important as that relates to mounting pin locations etc...per your comments as well.
