My old radiator had a crack in it so I ordered a new one on ebay. The radiator I received was slightly different than the one on my truck and the one in the pictures as it just had these threaded outlets for the transmission lines rather than barb fittings.

I guess I need to buy some barb fittings that screw onto these? Anyone else been through this and know off the top of the head what kind of fittings I'll need? I'd like to avoid having to ship this thing back and wait on a new one to come in the mail if possible

Thanks I was wondering if the fittings on my old radiator came off. I didn't want to drain all the fluids out and pull the lines and everything to find out they didn't come off or wouldn't fit though

Some just have the barbed fittings attached inside the plastic tank .

You might want to see if you can get the thread size and find female to barb fittings .

Might be a great time to add a Transmission Cooler and be done.

Yeah I already put a transmission cooler on my truck a couple years ago. I thought I remembered the barbs being just attached to the tank which is why I made this thread. Unless the whole metal portion unscrews from the plastic tank? I looked at it but it was raining and hard to tell with the lines on there. I emailed the ebay seller and they said they would send me some fittings in the mail anyways.

In a pinch you can bypass the radiator since you have an aux cooler. Might just take a smidge longer for the ATF to warm up which marginally worsens fuel economy

Bump still on the search can't figure this out. I have tried 6an lines (9/16-18) will not thread on all the way. I also tried some fitting I got from orielys 1/2-20. I have measured the male fitting it measures 14mm wide. May have to get new radiator as these fitting seem impossible to find.

Well I would personally return and get the correct radiator but since its already installed and you probably don't want to deal with the hassle of returning it. I'd find out what kind of fitting can fit on that radiator looks to be some kind of flare fitting, common size would be 1/4" flare. I would then get an adapter to turn it into the a barbed fitting, to fit the radiator hose. Or flare fitting to barb which maybe harder to find locally but can be found online. Here are examples pictured below, but you'd need to exactly find the correct size fitting as this is an example only.
