Just stumbled on this from Expedition Portal, looks like a new player in the game, local to So. Cal (Santa Barbara area).

    https://www.topotoppers.com/

Ran a search here, nothing popped, anyone heard of these yet?

Interesting. Hadn't seen this one before.

They claim the weight at 200lbs, which is quite a bit lighter than any of the wedge-style popups...

They've got a very fly by night money grab / capitalize on hype vibe. I dunno, competition and variety is good for the consumer -- gonna keep eyes on this and see what they do.

Just saw someone post about this company on FB. Looks very similar to the AT Atlas and less expensive!

Will definitely be looking into this setup.

No, but I really want to.
Reached out via instagram. Their shop is in Ventura and they’re there all week, just hit them up for a date and time. Gonna try sometime in March when I’m in the LA area.

Has anyone had any follow up conversations about this Pop up? Looking at possibly pulling the trigger on one but not a lot out there about the quality of these.

I'd reach out to them with any questions you have, they're very responsive on Instagram.

I'm going to try and hit up their shop on the way back up to the Bay Area next week.

And if all goes well, I'll pull the trigger!

Unfortunately I didn't make it out to their shop. I literally drove past Ventura to meet up with some old friends in Santa Barbara. I figured I'm pretty set on this camper and they're super responsive on IG with any questions that I do have.

Honestly, the clean, sleek look and the size of the Topo Topper compared to other truck camper pop ups was the main deal maker for me.

I want to be able to park in my garage, a parking structure, or even be able to fit through a drive thru! I also want to keep my moonroof accessible. My first choice of camper was the AT Atlas, which covered the moonroof on a 5ft bed Tacoma and also is taller than the Topo Topper when closed. Oh and more expensive!

Nice! I'll be placing my order tomorrow. I plan to build out the entire interior, so I'll need as much usable space available in a 5ft bed, so no need for the windows on the sides. However, I will be going with the sliding front window into the cab and awning brackets.

Topo Topper Badlander, Bilstien front/rear, Add a leaf, sliders and DD amber fogs
My Badlander was delivered 2 weeks ago and I was able to take out over the weekend.

Working with Thomas and Katy during the ordering and build process was a great experience especially when hearing about some of the negative issues people were having with some of the other companies I was looking at.

Sweet build! May I ask about your ski rack set up? What racks are they? Are they attached via L-track? I will most likely go this route also, as I'd like to keep the overall height of the truck to a minimum and don't want to mount anything on top.

Thanks, really enjoying it! Minimal, with no real build out for maximum daily drivability and maintaining truck usefulness. The racks are Yakima fatcat evo 4s. They’re mounted to the L tracks installed at Topotoppers. Had to machine down boltheads/hardware as they were too big for slots. Might recommend going with whatever brand of rack’s track system to avoid this. These also have the ability to raise off the tracks a bit to allow for clearance of opening the window slightly. I’m glad I went this route instead of roof mount. No impact to mpg as well!
