Scoured this thread but still having an issue with the Carplay GPS getting off track, reset via the 3d Calibration reset, it works but after a trip or two its off again, cycled this process about 12 times over the course of weeks and updated firmware, anyone have another suggestion on fixing this GPS calibration issue?

Are you using the gps antenna that came with the HU or are you using a GPS adapter cable and using the OE antenna?

Android Auto uses the gps unit in the phone, and not the GPS antenna from the car. Where do you keep it currently? Have you tried moving it to your dashboard?

He's using CarPlay though. Which, to my limited knowledge, uses the vehicles GPS when wireless.

Would the CD-MC20 Auto-EQ Microphone work with this radio? On the Pioneer site is stated that should work with all 2010 and later Car DVD Receivers, but this radio doesn't have DVD.
On the order hand, it's supposed to work with all the Pioneer NEX radios. I only see the BT mic jack, and there's nothing in the manual about the CD-MC20.

Is there an up to date post in here for a complete buy list? Looking to get everything at once. Post #335 is what’ve found but has anything changed from that list?

There’s a couple in this thread. They’re all generally the same though.

I saw someone say the steering wheel control harness is not used in this application? Any confirmation? B4A228FF-CD26-42F5-9A28-BDC302EB52D8.jpg

Having an issue connecting the GPS antenna from the truck. I have no idea where to connect it during the install. Does anybody have any pics or insight? I have the 6600 and Maestro RR.

Check out my video. Not high production, but it goes over the antenna and gps a lot

Thanks man. I realized that I don't have the adapter to use the stock GPS, so I just installed the Pioneer GPS antenna and stuck it to the top of the single din unit inside the dash. I wish I could use the factory mic though. Also, just a heads up, your video's audio cuts out after a few minutes and is just mute for a while.

Here is my unit after install:

Glad I could help. I know about the audio. YouTube mangled it during upload and I don't have the original file anymore.

Video overview, also not great, but gets the idea across.

I finally was able to get everything installed! This is an awesome unit, and im excited to check out more of the features. I am having an issue that I can't seem to resolve and I'm looking for some input from y'all.

Issue: Cannot use wireless Apple CarPlay. I get an error that says something along the lines of "the GPS cable must be connected to use wireless CarPlay". Its essentially the VSS error that folks receive but calling out GPS rather than VSS.
I can use wired CarPlay, but if I disconnect it will not work.

Steps taken to resolve: I have updated to the latest firmware. I receive the error before and after the software bypass. I have triple checked all connections. I have attempted with the t02 adapter, and with the pioneer provided gps antenna both receive the same error. I currently have the unit wired with the maestro and the anytime backup camera harness.

Any suggestions would be awesome! Thank you!

Trying to help even though I have Android auto. So when you plug in your phone to your head unit, I'm guessing it switches to using your phones gps. I know you said that you triple checked connections, but did you try swapping the GPS connector with the sat radio connector?

I’ve noticed on calls people sound robotic, with an echo. Call quality isn’t that great. Any troubleshooting advice?
