    Simple using the app.

I know the question was answered. I just wanted to share my wallpaper.

Got all the material and in the middle of soldering all the connections, came across a couple that I wanted to confirm:

Pioneer harness light green = Maestro harness light green
Pioneer harness violet/ white = Maestro purple/ white
Pioneer harness orange/ white = Maestro orange

also are these not used on the Maestro harness:

    Pink
    Yellow/ green
    yellow/ black

Thanks ahead of time, you guys have been great!

So this is BS- just got off the phone w/ Crutchfield. There is supposed to be a pink wire on the Pioneer harness, but there clearly isn't. i was down to my last three connections and the harness would be ready. There telling me to go to Autozone and get a pinning tool, crimper kit and make it up myself, or leave it off as its not necessary. Got off the phone with Pioneer and they said you would lose features such as speed limit postings, less accurate GPS coordinates, some other GPS related features.

Bought the unit as a 'return' from them as they had no new ones in stock at the time. So I think its pretty crappy IF the person returning messed with it, didn't like it, sent it back like that. And even more crappy on Crutchfield for not doing a thorough check before reselling. I'm ready to ship it all back to them. Autozone of course had nothing remotely close either, but I shouldnt have to be crimping and pinning a wire on a 'like new' stereo anyway..

Ugghh needed to vent- what a disappointment..

Wow...if that’s the case, that’s some BS. They probably screwed or up & returned it.

My Pioneer harness doesn’t have a blue wire... just blue/white, which is already wired to the maestro blue/white wire. It was running fine with the blue wire not connected to anything. I don’t know why I don’t have a blue wire on the Pioneer..

The Blue White wire was listed as power antenna. This is the remote activation wire for the power antenna, amp, and anything else you want to come on with the head unit.

So how many factory connectors are unused? Did you seal the ends with anything special?

all of the factory connectors on the vehicle harness are used, including the three antenna connectors if you purchased the SAT-TO2 antenna connector package.

    Hey all!

I'm on the last mile of my install, but I've run into an issue and I figured I'd post it here since most people are using the Maestro + 6600NEX.

Im having an issue w/ Maestro connecting. I keep getting the error, "Function Is Unavailable because Maestro is disconnected. Please check connection with Maestro."

I've flashed the Maestro to the exact car, exact steering wheel, exact setup - unplug it, take it out to the truck, connect all the cables, plug in the data cable, and it flashes 2x Red at me, which means: 1) I entered the serial number wrong, or 2) the data cable is not connected.

Ive checked the serial number half a dozen times now, so that's not the issue. And the data cable is very much installed and connected. I suppose it's a bad data cable, but that also seems very unlikely.

Curious if anyone has some input for me here, or if they ran into the same issue!

    All the best!

Has anyone figured out the bypass to allow HDMI? I have the Pioneer TR-01 harness (I think that's the name) that allows me to access settings, but as soon as I switch to HDMI while in motion (to get to FireTV Stick in the glove box), I get an error. I know this deck is so new, so a solution may not be figured out yet. I even brought it to a local car A/V and they were stumped.

BTW: I have the floating 10" 8800, which should be the same firmware/harness configuration :D

The light on the Maestro is blinking RED TWICE. Ensure the 4-pin data cable is connected between the radio and the RR, and that it is plugged into the black port on the Maestro RR. The red and blue ports on the RR should be empty. Make sure the correct radio model and serial number were entered during the fl ash. Verify the radio’s serial number entered during the fl ash matches what is listed on the radio screen. This can be found in the settings of the radio, listed as Device Id, Device Number, or Serial Number.

So this is from the maestro manual. Did u do step 4 in the instructions with the obd2 port? I don't have this connected and still get all of the functions. Maybe try the reset and completely reflash also. Make SURE that your microphone is not plugged into the (W/R) on the back of the radio. Let us know where u get to. Thanks

I installed the 6600 a few days ago and so far I love it! It’s nice to have CarPlay. I noticed when I was programming the Maestro there was an option to have a button that would show the front camera when held down. Has anyone gotten this to work? If so what button did you use?

Two calls w/ Crutchfield and nowhere. The data cable is fine, I tested it and threw thew voltmeter on it. The obd2 has been both connected and not connected - no change in the outcome.

I have tried flashing different profiles w/ the software. The 2019, Tacoma w/o JBL doesn't work. I did try a generic profile, but it seems that this profile is simply not utilizing the data cable, so it doesn't throw an error on the Maestro.

Im starting to suspect a bad cable, or a bad Maestro. Might all be DOA.

Has anyone with a 2019 SR5 had issues with their Maestro?

Not yet. Pioneer is sending me a new harness. Debating to just install it and maybe swap out the harness later. Or get the pinning tools and try to remove just the pink from the new one and add it to the existing harness.
