I have replaced a few front CV axels already this year and want to avoid doing it again. I have been using cheap autoparts store remanufactured axels. The current axels boots are torn. The truck has OME 882 springs up front for about 3" of lift. I tried the boot stretch mod on some cheap autoparts store axels and it didn't stop the inner boot wear.

Anyone ever try the "new" Heri Automotive CV axles? The inner boot looks like a better design that won't wear.

OR would I be better off with CVJ axles?

I just bought a Heri CV axle because I need a CV axle to get me home so I can rebuild my oem one, all highway driving. Does anyone have experience with Heri cvaxles?

My only concern is it wont fit. I only need it to last 700 miles. Here's a link to the rock auto page on the one I got, I got it for $37 shipping included.
