Now, what guy doesn't love a girl who drives an SR5??? Well I do and her wipers started running only on high, and that's all I'm gonna say about her ;-0

Was all working fine, started about a month ago, the wipers won't run on intermittent, or low, only on high, stops when you turn it off, where ever it is, doesn't return to resting position. Washer works but doesn't trigger the wipers.

I read some similar post but no one had a solution. So I installed another wiper switch (used), did the same thing.... high only ;-(

Now what??? Come on fellas, help a brother out ;-)

    Thanx
    Steve

Likely the wiper motor itself. It gets power from 2 sources, one high one low.

The red white wire to the motor from the switch is high speed, the blue black is low speed.

The park sensor/switch is built into the wiper motor.

Thanks Bishop 84, so can I test the voltage at the motor, if I get voltage at both red/wht, blu/blk then it's the motor? If one is dead, I should check the fuses in the cab?

Also several people have mentioned a relay, is there a replaceable one? Would it be in the fuse box in the engine compartment?

seems like an electrical issue. The motor obviously works because it runs. Check fuses, relays, and wiring. Could be a bad connection somewhere, a chewed up wire, a blown fuse, stuck relay.

As for the fuses only one is involved: it is 20A Wiper fuse and powers all of that. So if motor works on high or washer pump works, the fuse is OK.
Wiper Relay is inside wiper switch. So if you replaced the switch for the new one and it did not change anything probably it is OK
Wiper motor uses Low-Speed power circuit to put the wipers in park position. So when you switch wipers on High the motor is powered by red-white wire. As soon as you turn high speed off the motor is powered via blue-black wire which runs the motor at low speed.

From that I see two possibilities:
    1. Blue-black wire is faulty (broken or disconnected between wiper switch and wiper motor)
    2. Wiper motor low speed is faulty - means does not turn the motor when 12V is applied to Blue-black wire.

Easy to check by putting wipers switch on Low speed (not int) and measure the voltage on wiper motor on blue-black wire. If you don't have 12V there, it is wire. If you have 12V and the contact between the plug and the motor is good, it must be the motor.

This is the wiper motor plug

The blue-black wire is number 5. The red-white is number 3.

Here is a diagram of wiper/washer circuit

    Thanx a Bunch RysiuM

    Steve

ps... what are you doing in Poland? Do you have your truck over there? I have a few very close polish friends and I've always wanted to go visit, especially to see the Polish Film Festival EnergaCAMERIMAGE in Warsaw.

RysiuM YOU ROCK! I checked the voltage & the Blue/Black wire was dead, I pulled on it and out it came from the bundle, it was broken about 8-10" down the line. Peeled the wire wrap back, grabbed a quick connect ( to crowded to try & solder) and BANG, I'm a Hero, the girlfriend is very HAPPY, made me lunch and gave me a big wet kiss!

Glad to help. Now I'm curious how come just one wire in the bundle got broken? Rodents? Sabotage by former bf of your gf?
