Sharing photos for the group. Truck has 1.5” lift all around and 1.5” spacers with stock OR wheels. No rubbing so far. I don’t notice any slower acceleration but maybe just a touch longer braking distances. Too early to tell MPG.

    ** correction am getting some
    Rubbing around town

New shoes installed today. Falken Wildpeak AT4W 255/85 R16. First drive impressions; They are smooth and quiet. Exhaust pipe makes more noise than the tires. (Speeds of 50 mph and under) Balanced well and track great. No drift. Acceleration drinks a bit more fuel but at speed they appear to roll well. No need to constantly apply more gas to keep truck at speed and it doesn't seem to want to lose speed as if being bogged down too much. Previously tires were Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's in 265/75 R16. They were not the E rated tires.

That is perfect, so just I can understand, you went from 265/75r16 lrE to 255/85r16 lrC and didn't notice a significant change in driving behavior correct? and are you on stock suspension? I am looking for this exact tire on the exact wheels, do you have spacer and does the 255/85r16 rub at all?
    Thank you! Cheers!

I went from the 265/75 16 SL Mickey Thompsons to the Falken AT4Ws. I have Bilstein B8-5100 height adjustable front shocks set on position #3 (1.1”). I do not run any spacers. I have not experienced any rubbing driving around town. These are OEM Toyota 16” beadlock style wheels. 16x7.5 with 10mm offset. Approximately 23.5 pounds. I’ve installed an Anderson Engineering manifold spacer and tuned the truck with the KDMax-Pro 10.0 tune modified slightly to limit engagement of 6th gear to keep engine rpm up while driving on the interstate around town. I have not noticed any sluggishness in acceleration and once at speed the tires seem to roll easily to maintain speed. They are substantially quieter than the Baja Boss A/T’s.

That’s pretty impressive if they seem to have the same rolling resistance as a SL rated 265/75/16 tire.

What PSI are you all running on 255/85-16. I was at 35 psi and didn’t feel right. Now at 46 psi and it feels better. On an FJ.

I was wondering the same. Tire shop set mine at 35psi and they feel great so far. But, I need to do a proper chalk test. It's been raining a bunch and work's been busy so I haven't had a chance yet. Would love to see if anyone else has done one yet.

DT set them at 35psi based on the table when converting the OEM Wranglers at 30psi. The online pressure calculator suggested 36psi.

Central Indiana received 3-4 inches of wet snow today. These tires performed amazingly well. I ran the truck in 4WD high going to the dog park on I465 due to the amount of slushy snow on the road and 2WD coming home after the traffic and plows were able to remove most of the deeper sections of snow/slush. The tires cut right through the slush and gripped the wet pavement perfectly. Did not break traction at all. Very impressive. The combination of width and overall diameter lets them cut through the crud and keep on rolling. IMG_2110.jpg

I was previously at 16-17 mpg. Now I'm between 14-16.
It's weird, when I first had them installed it went down to 12mpg. Not sure why that is but now it's been consistently between 14-16, more on the 16 to be honest.

Just got 265/70R 17’s on Method 305NV double black. Love the way they look. Stock suspension (for now) and no rubbing at all.

That's a nice setup. What offset are those wheels?

Thanks. I’m very happy with how it turned out. They are a zero offset. Stick out about an inch outside the wheel well. They are 8.5 wide vs the stock 8 so it also adds a little beefiness.

Got mine a few days ago. Wanted to try the WildPeak series, since everyone raves about them, so I left the Nitto Ridge Grapplers behind.

275/70/17 on Method 316’s with a zero offset and 4.75 bs

That's a fantastic looking wheel and tire package and it makes the Taco look very rugged. How do you like the Wildpeak compared to the Ridge Grapplers?

Yo! Discount in the house! (Got mine from Discount in Spartanburg)

Loved my Nittos, but everyone and their mother recommended the AT3w’s

So far, and this is just my op, the Nittos have that “look” but these have the look & performance. If I had to go back, I would, but I’d also be fine rocking at4w’s moving forward. Can’t go wrong with either.

Not to completely takeover this thread, but since you’re here, just wanted to let you know that they took real good care of me.

Originally, I wanted another set of wheels. So, they got them ordered. Turns out the wheels were out of stock. There was a commutation issue with them and whoever they get the wheels from. It would’ve been a month or so delay. So, they told me not to worry about it, let me pick out any other set I wanted, and I got these. They were a tad more expensive, but they told me not even to worry about it. Saved about 250 or something.

It’s business like that you never forget. Got my precious set of tires there as well.

Just wanted to let yall know.
