Cool, so I'll save that for Toyota or my shop to deal with.

But that's my limit. At a certain point that fluid becomes integral to the transmission. If you wait too long then you get to the point where it's worse to do it than not.

DIY absolutely. If I'm bringing it to Toyota it depends on the cost. It's one of those "it's 500$ to drain and fill but 515 to flush" type of things then to me it's - hell, you're already in there. Might as well go all out. It's like people who will build a new house and spend 500k but won't spend an extra 2k for double pane windows.

But take what I say with a grain of sale re: transmission. I did my wife's cvt Camry and that was fine. Otherwise it's been jeeps and big 3s that are more of a slap dash who cares approach.

Not sure if I'll need to relocate the control box, but, that I can resolve beforehand. Wouldn't be the first time...

Anyone know the power steering fluid capacity for when I replace my rack this weekend? How many quarts... can't be much

What winch is it? The reason why I am asking is because most winch's with the control box on top of it run into the center radiator brace depending on how it is mounted. Since each bumper has a different winch mounting height, it may be necessary to mount it off to the side.

I bought 3, used 1 to flush before changing the rack, to get as much of the crud out prior to the new rack going in and about 1 after.

    Pro9500S is the model.
And yes it has removable control box(currently on top).
I have had to relocated them several times, so, I will only ever get a winch with a removable box. Plus, makes servicing the contactors much easier.

And @MikefromCT I like that, I would have loved something like that with my WJ...

Comparing both,, this is bolt on and will have a resale value where the jd pivot doesn't. Still looking for a year or so from now but thinking ahead to 35s

Resale value? Where I'm going we don't need resale value...:anonymous:

But in all seriousness I'm looking at it as being able to achieve the same thing for 1/3 less, being 100% bolt on is alluring though...

I agree on resale:D but cutting, grinding and welding in the new cost time and money... in the end I think the cost are close

It's definitely something to consider and I'm stoked things like this are being brought to market and making it easier to do the things I want. We'll see where I'm at when it's time to seriously start looking at this, I might even just buy some mevotech uppers and crank the lca's forward to see what that leaves me with

I was thinking the same... it's a good start to see how much more is needed.

I stopped by Advanced for an oil container for my gear oil. They said they will take the old gear oil.

And because I'm not a fan of Allen bolts...

Niiiice. Hate socket heads. Hex or torx. I've heard of people relaxing the ATF plugs with something that's not the same as the oil so they don't accidentally drain the ATF instead of the oil.

Alright, I'm just looking into this. They only make the LCA bushings for 2nd gen.
I did end up finding out that toyota does sell the bushings, at a really high price.
