Likewise nice meeting and seeing some of y'all. Definitely get some bbq going - I'll look at some places we can do a couple hours on the water maybe an upstream downstream type of thing.

Cool beans! I - have spent no time looking yet. Gotta set a date first, if I can't make it that's fine too. I have looked in eastern MA and haven't really found much overall. There's the Saco obviously. Ipswich maybe too. Not sure if there's a lot of portages though.

Swift River, Nashua river are rivers that might work. Ashland reservoir is pretty centrally located with lots of parking.
No sorry, hope you had a good time and stayed away from the poison ivy :anonymous:

Haven't even looked at dates and just started looking at locations.

Double check. There was one I looked at that didn't allow outside boats only rentals managed to control invasive species. Eastern MA is kind of shenanigans. Ipswich could work there's a decent river but I don't know it.

Yeah we gotta hammer that out my summer is pretty busy.

Thinking 8/13 or 8/14 might be a good. Plenty of time to plan and I can do a recon to any potential spots by then to get details squared away.
I'll have at least 1 extra kayak for anyone that wants to go but doesn't have something.

Hot damn that weekend works for me!

I have several decent spots down here but none are floats and they're all kinda "meh". Two are pretty cool but the rest are meh - and for being out of the wah for everyone else not really worth it.

I don’t know specifically about Ashland Reservoir but Quabbin in Belchertown is one that only allows rental boats or boats specifically steam washed and tagged by an approved site prior to launch. The swift river coming off of Quabbin however does allow kayaks and canoes.
