I just installed these and I'm really impressed. They are far superior to the factory junk. Supposedly they are better than the Subaru tweeters and they are cheaper. In no way am I knowledgable on speakers or sounds systems, probably what I know the least about cars. It was just such a difference and so easy to do. Really helps with road noise.

Really would like to know your thoughts on the sound. Trying to figure out if I'm over hyped a little.

ABSOLUTELY necessary to remove A pillar?

Looking at my '23, it has "SRS Airbag" on both A pillar covers. Wondering if I really want to do this on my own.

Also, driver side has no OMG bar, should I assume it's just the clips holding that side on?

You’ll need a thin pry tool to take the small square tabs out then it 2 10 mm bolts holding the a pillar on each side. And I would disconnect the neg battery cable before you start so you don’t accidentally trigger the air bag.

I only had one 10mm bolt on the drivers side. I popped out the tab that said airbag and it was there.

No need to worry about the airbags. It's super simple install and shouldn't take more than 15 minutes max for both.

I don’t think they will work…can’t tell you why specifically. I’ll leave that for a more knowledgeable audio file to explain. I have recently read another threads saying it’s a no go. Different ohms and connectors…or something like that.

These sound great, but clearly now there’s very clear, much more articulated Chris sound coming from the dashboard, and really not much sound coming from anywhere else. We all know the rear door speakers really aren’t worth much when it comes to family in the cabin with sound, but it’s so obvious now that the door speakers in the front are just weak.

I ordered checkers over the weekend from Crutchfield and they should be here Thursday. This weekend I’ll get into sound deadening, and a little soundproofing and installing those, I can only imagine how much better overall the front of the cabin will sound.

I have other plans for the rear, so I won’t be throwing in anything in the doors just yet.

Accomplished in about 20 minutes Sunday morning. Didn't know how much difference they would really make. From all the TW videos I saw, I showed up with both 7mm and 10mm. On the 23, only 10mm was needed. I was britting shicks that I was going to drop that 10mm into the hole when swapping the actual speakers. That thing seemed to have a bottomless potential!

The big test for me was freeway speeds with the window down. Didn't need to adjust the volume at all to continue hearing Free Bird jam!

Since I'm in an Access Cab, the rear speakers have negligible worry.

I could actually feel a new pressure on my ears if I have the level above about 25. Almost uncomfortable.

Be prepared, once these are in they will motivate you to upgrade the rest of the speaker junk in the truck. No way around it, got the sound deadening and new speakers in over the weekend. Huge improvement. This is one of those upgrades where you really don't realize how bad the factory stuff is until you feel the difference. Unless you're into sound systems, of course.

Sound skins makes a set custom cut for DC 3rd gen. Very straightforward install, just a bit of time and patience. Good option for the classy guy to do a video.

audiofrog 6x9’s w taco tunes adapters fill out the front doors nicely.

Rears are for your kids so that’s a good place to save money :)
