Strike two for denso. We’ll have another go at it this week. Second one received (left side) was worse than the first. Almost makes the first one I got look straight

:annoyed:Doesn't surprise me. They way they ship some stuff likely the whole pallet is no good. Almost looks like it was boomered down too tight.

what’s weird is the box looks fine almost like they were stored improperly before boxed? I have no idea. I have “returned” and replacement ordered the one from Amazon and will return return the Wally World order on my way to the UPS store

It might straighten out bolted up but then do you wanna chance a leak or stress crack in a hurry. I’d put my money on No.

That’s what I feared when I ordered mine. When it came it was packed very well and there was no warp at all.
It’s definitely a sellers packing problem.

How are the ends put together? If there crimped on it could be the machine crimpin’ them. Otherwise yeah, the packagin’ it to blame.

if it were some emergent thing needed to get me off the side of the road I would try that but I’ve not had AC for a year now so I can wait a little longer for one that isn’t bent lol

yeah im not too hopeful I’ll get a good one on the 3rd try, but I’ll give it a shot since the shipping is free. I sent them a message for when they get it back too

I liked the way you crossed out the message on the box and wrote in “ Bent”. LOL

Well the third time seems to be the charm, this one although it is a bit tweaked is better than the first two by quite a bit. Think I’ll try to install and see how it goes.

Figured I'd update this thread, thanks again for all those than contributed. Took about an 3 hours from start to finish (accounting for the 1 hour vacuum draw) to remove and replace. I've got 41 degF blowing out now, and hopefully for the foreseeable future, just in time for this heat wave we are getting out here in NJ.

About to do this to my Taco and was about to order the Denso from RockAuto but now, after seeing 6 Gears rough go of bent ones, I'm hesitant. Has anyone else had issues with bent ones being shipped? I'm in Canada and extra weary of the shipping/travel it will need to do.

I have the same Denso Condenser that I ordered from Rock Auto and it was totally straight when I received it (on the first try). It still works like new a few years later so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

I'd wager 6 Gear's issues with bent ones may have been more of an issue with Amazon 3rd party sellers mishandling/mispackaging them than a Denso QC issue.

If you have a local auto supply go there. You can look and see if it's damaged. Added plus, supporting local business.

Otherwise check return policy at online sellers.

it could be, but I also ordered one from Walmart that also came bent, and oddly enough the boxes seemed in tact with no damage that would have caused them to be bent. Not really sure what happened there but it sure was frustrating. Thankfully the taco is not my daily driver so I could afford to leave it down and torn apart until a decent looking condenser came in.
