Randys Ring and Pinion in Everett. Diffs are pretty much all they do. I've done multiple trucks here and always been impressed.

    I thought F/R re-gear is about a 8ish hour job?

what’s Randy’s scheduling and availability like these days? I’ll use them for gears as well, they use exclusively Yukon while Mule (I think) orders Nitro. Both places seemed to be similar in pricing.

I’d walk away from any shop claiming F&R regear is 3 hours… I’d also not take my truck to an off road shop for a regear. You go to a diff/ring and pinion shop for the most experience. I’ve regeared several Toyotas Randy’s, and would highly recommend them. When I spun my bearings in the rear diff of a Toyota due to a leak that got too low, the housing was shot. They had spare Toyota diffs on hand and swapped the housing for no cost over what I was paying already, and the truck was still done on time.

Are you sure about 3 hours job? Needle bearing replacement @ Mule 1.25 to 1.5 hours and a few month wait time.

I checked at several different shops in Western WA and all had roughly the same price. I had mine done at Mule in Issaquah because they were about the closest and they did the first gear oil change free after the break-in period.

That asshole's username rhymes with dirt

I agree that you want to have a qualified shop do your gear work. Our tech that installs the gears here at Mule probably does 1-2 Toyota gear jobs a week on average. Every week. Mule also offers a 12 month warranty on labor, and we do the first oil change after break in for free.

For the record you guys did a great job dialing in my alignment when I installed my SPC UCAs after Toyota of Bellevue had failed to do it properly, twice.

I just got the clamshell and rear 3rd from ecgs and installed them myself. Was $2800 out the door with a front air locker.
