This one claims to be new. Seller has good reviews, but the part is coming from UAE, shipping is $57 but far less than $600.

How's the rubber look? How good a shape is it in? Can you tell much by just looking at those? I'm just asking the questions for him, until he gets back :D

Dude that’s definitely fake oem, they’ve got an American flag on the picture and also says “US Seller” but item location is in Dubai. That obviously doesn’t add up right. OP can gamble it if he wants but I would suggest getting the Dayco from Rock auto. It’s what I bought, it’s $150, made in Australia and seems built pretty decent.
At least you know what you’re buying, and not paying extra for a part that is most likely a fake Toyota part.

I could be wrong but I would believe it more if they didn’t have an American flag and US Seller on the picture. I would feel more comfortable having them state they are a company based is Dubai.

Hey I think Dayco should be a decent one for being aftermarket. Good find.

I’ve only put about 50 miles on it so far but weight is the same, belt ribs are clean without any burs. Kinda small stuff to look at but makes me want to think it’s made decent if not as good as oem, I mean it is just a crank pulley. The only failure point is the rubber, as long as there isn’t oil leaking on it it should be fine even being cheap, at least for a while. Also has correct spots for the SST tool.

I think there's a chance Dayco even makes the original one for Toyota. If they look exact EXACT then more than likely Dayco makes it for Toyota. That's at least reassuring considering aftermarket is still big bucks out of pocket

Maybe check your local wrecking yards to see if they have either have a 1st Gen Tacoma, 3rd Gen 4runner, 1st Gen Tundra or a T100 on their lot and hopefully you'll find one with the engine still there. This will be your most affordable option. I don't know what wrecking yards will charge for this but I guarantee it will be a lot more affordable than any of the other options listed.

That's a good suggestion. And that one website that uses that network of wreckers, they list their parts on that site, car-part.com I think it is

    Update:

My mechanic said the new balancer will be here this week.
Is there any way to tell by looking at it whether or not it’s OEM?

If it has a TOYOTA logo anywhere on it, that could signal it is used as OEM.
Only other way I can think of would be directly comparing the two parts while they were in your hands observing them.
Some detailed close pics of both parts would help us internet sleuths determine it as well:D

@QMEDJoe quick question does someone necessarily need to have a supercharger to use the URD SuperGrip Crankshast pully?
