Looking for a good mechanic in Central FL. I’m willing to drive a ways for the right shop. Not looking for a deal, or cheap work. More than willing to pay for the work to be done properly. I live in a small town near Ocala. I wouldn’t trust many locals- unless I drove a Chevy or Ford.
—Besides general maintenance, and mechanical stuff, I’d be stoked if they were able to help with some more ‘custom’ stuff- installing FJ case, ADD delete etc.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

And that helps him how? He's asking for a mech.
Are you offering your services as a mech?

Your best bet might be to find an enthusiast on here to help you do things to your truck..... Keep posting why you're looking to do. There's Timbo's customs in Auburndale, he does a lot of work on Tacomas.

I’d love to find someone that was more capable than me to help. I’ve got tools, Jack, etc- but my carport isn’t really large enough. I’ve got new oem Toyota axles, f&r brakes, seals, lca’s and other stuff. Just trying to show my truck some well deserved love. Haha
I saw Timbos customs in some other posts- but didn’t know if he was more fabrication oriented.

I’ll have to hit up Timbos, and see if that something he’d be interested in doing.

Awesome thanks!! I’ve read about, and seen good work on posts from him. And he’s much closer to me than Melbourne. I have a bunch of parts stacked in my living room right now, (including a fj xfer case) Haha! Id like to get it off the floor, and on the truck.

All County Automotive (Previously All County 4x4 Specialists) should be close to you. They are the only guys whom have been able to align my truck correctly. They're good ol boys.

They know their shit and will tell you and show you what's broke without pushing an upsale service. (In my case I was already aware what was worn but two previous shops didn't even notice let alone mention what was obvious.)

I would trust them to do good work if you're looking for something that comes with a warranty.

ALL COUNTY AUTOMOTIVE OF CITRUS COUNTY, INC
    (352) 228-4950

That said I do everything short of tires and alignments and high rate long coil on coil overs swaps on my own vehicles. I don't have a wall mount compressor (thanks Timbo for helping me swap mine) and can't I just can't justify the machines to do those rare things at home.

Now if you're looking for good work I do that, but fair warning: I am not fast. I take my time to do it right and safe, can't rush that.

DM me if you're looking for more personal one on one work and let me know what you're looking to get done. I've done pretty much all of it and occasionally take on side work. I'm near Kissimmee but may be heading up to The Ocala area next weekend.

    Hey thanks for the info!!!
Though I haven’t been to ALL COUNTY, I have popped in to some other local shops. Most of which don’t like the fact that I have all my own parts already. I totally get it, they’d like to sell parts- but I bought all OEM or upgraded parts. There was one shop that told me they’d replace the seals that they deemed necessary. I bought all the seals that’ll be encountered along the way- why not just please change them while you’re in there for peace of mind? I explained the ADD delete and FJ case to one shop, and you’d have thought I was speaking another language. He kept asking me “so what’s wrong with it?” I know brakes, hubs, LCA’s, body mounts and stuff are really straight forward work- but Id really like to avoid bringing it to multiple people. I realize it’s not a Ferrari or anything, but I’m particular on who touches my truck. I’ve had some issues in the past.
