Replacing front wheel bearing assembly on 2010 Tacoma 4x4 V6. Got the 35mm nut off, 4 captured bolts holding the assembly in place are loose. This thing is stuck hard. I have maybe a 2-3mm gap all around now but its still sticking. Borrowed a slide hammer from autozone, its not getting it done. Can i shoot PB blaster in the spline area? Is this thing liked corroded onto the spline and thus I'm pulling on the CV axle?

    A few things
A 3 jaw puller should get it done, local auto parts store should have one.

Ahhh...i see what you mean. When I saw this post I thought it was an attachment for the slide hammer, which I didnt think would help me. Yeah i will try this tomorrow.

5.5 lift front 4 rear on 33s with an endless amount more work to do
You can also take a towel and tie it to the weight on the slide hammer and use the length of the towel to amplify force. Watched my technicians do it for years. Instead of 10 tries it takes 3.

Hallelujah...this thing would have never come off without the 3 arm puller. I had to put 2 wrenches on that even. But its off, and surprisingly looks pretty good/clean. Time for breakfast. Hopefully I dont have a lot of problems grtting it back together now (looks at spline).
