    Hi Guys,

I just bought this brush guard off of craigslist off of a guy and it was off a 2007 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab and I'm trying to put in on a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab. Got it half on my truck and the bottom brackets work fine, i cant line the top brackets up at all. There is no markings or stamps on the guard to tell what it is, hoping someone has seen a guard like this and could possibly identify it. I was under the assumption that most aftermarket stuff for Tacoma's for 2nd Generation 2005-2015 fit most in this case but i guess not. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank's!!!!!20150610_082404.jpg 20150610_082410.jpg 20150610_082418.jpg 20150610_082306.jpg 20150610_082313.jpg 20150610_082321.jpg 20150610_082219.jpg 20150610_082225.jpg 20150610_082229.jpg

That upper bar suggests it may be a Westin.

I agree after a short google search comparison between Aires and Westin.

OP says there are no stamps or numbers anywhere. That rules out Westin right there. There would be numbers on the lower inside of the passenger upright plate. Also the Westin uprights flare out on that model, not in. Same for Aries.

Looks a lot like a Manik to me. Sorry though OP, Manik tanked in 2008.

Thanks guys for the responses but Scott your front end is slightly different than my 2013, different fog lights. I cant figure out there those top two skinny brackets go on my frame to mount it at the top. My Front end looks like this.toyota_tacoma_2013_front_end.jpg

True, but the grill/headlights/bumper changed for the 2012 model year, yours being 2013. You say this came off a 2007 truck.

Nothing changed underneath all the plastic, which is why your main brackets are working. They just happen to fit around everything just right.

Your problem is with the upper support brackets which would go between the top of the bumper and bottom edge of the grille surround, or perhaps come through the surround right at the bottom of the grille. Because the plastic changed, things don't line up anymore.

Yes that's what it came off of, a 2007 access cab. The bottom brackets fit my truck fine the ones that are curved up and i just dont know where those top skinny ones go.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Looks more like a Go Rhino or a (now out of business) Manik Grille Guard (95% positive it's a Manik - Part # 928750).

Note the Top Bar sits outside the vertical support brace. Not much (solid) info. I could find for you, but maybe these links will help:

    http://www.gorhino.com/images/ePIM/original/3819M-i.pdf
    http://www.realtruck.com/shared/pdf/manufacturers/190/manikcatalog.pdf

Here's a Manik another TW was selling a few years back: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/f-s-manik-black-brush-guard-2005-tacoma.16826/#post-211029

EDIT - A little late to the party. I was still trying to dig up more info. for you :)

+1 for NEAScott for finding the same info

Look for a thin steel horizontal support behind the grill, that is where the smaller supports should mount up. Those brackets have been called "damage multipliers" BTW

The following link is an install guide for an Aries, but the brackets are pretty much the same: https://www.curtmfg.com/masterlibrary/01ARIESINS/2054_20130813.pdf

Edit: This guy got it right:

You may need to fabricate some other brackets that clear the grill.

Technically, 2005-2007, because they screwed the pooch and never produced 2008+. However, since 2005-2011 was the same, you are most likely right to say that.

Manik before they turned stupid and ruined themselves, was a great quality product, unlike the crap you can buy for less than half the price today. I would venture to say that if they were still here, they would have produced a new number for 2012+ truck to be sure it followed the lines of the bumper and grill cleanly, rather than slap the other on and maybe make a new set of upper brackets at most.

If you are good with the tools and steel, make your own uppers. If not, call around town and see who might be able to help you out. We have a welding shop in town here that can bust out some amazing trailers, plow mounts, and hitch assemblies ... all from half-assed chicken scratch drawings on a wet napkin.

I'm probably gonna have to just put the bottom brackets on then use some cardboard and take some measurements and the machine shop fab me up some brackets out of .25" plate. I got a good machine shop that does work for my work all the time and the guys are local and are great so ill have to probably have them fab up some.

I just bought one of these for my Regular cab, even thought it says only double and access cabs. Why wouldn't it fit a regular cab?

It claims to be for all second gens. But then in fine print, it says for Axcess and double cabs only. But I believe the mounts would be the same...right?

They should be the same on all access cabs or double cabs!
