Hi...wanna know if someone is very familiar with Fortin EVO_ALL remote start (plug and play) i've bought that unit and the flash link....uploaded the last firmware for my 2017 Tacoma Push-Start.....done the Decryptor.....both installed exactly successfully as mention in the guide....install the B PLUG as mentionned for Tacoma....i've hold the button...plug power cable...was flashing blue-yelow-red and when it was showing a solid blue light i've released the button....blue light stayed on....push start button twice....blue light went off....few seconds after blue light blinking (supposed to be programmed at that point) push start button once again to stop....all lights went off.....closed the door...went up front of my Taco....push the lock button 3 times (OEM Remote)....nothing's happening except locking doors ?? check out the FAQ and looks like everything i've done was OK....is someone have another trick or clue to help me out ? Thanks in advance

make sure you are slow and consistent with the "lock" presses... lock, pause, lock, pause, lock.

If I recall, one of the module led's should blink every time you press lock, then it begins the remote starting sequence.
I would sit inside the truck where you can see the module and then press the remote 3 times to see whats happening on the module.

Hi Mister....ok i've just tried that....i've sit on the passenger side and watched the fortin unit....and give 1-2 seconds between each lock push....each time i've pushed the lock button i heard the doors locking but no led is flashing on the fortin unit....all leds are off...maybe there is my problem between the unit and my OEM remote....it's weird...should be a 20 min job....geez everything is complicate with me hahaha

Tacoma should have a hood switch integrated. My 18 and 20 both show hood-open status on the display.

It's been a while since I installed these on my vehicles. A little googling shows that the blue LED should blink with each lock press. If it's not, then I'm guessing that's your problem.

Ok i guess it's where is my problem too....i've tried 4-5 differents older firmware to see if there will have a difference.....still the same with every older firmware....installed and programmed ok with all the flahing and solid led's etc...but when it's time to test and push the lock button there is no led flashing or anything on the unit...it's like my OEM Toyota Remote isn't compatible with the Unit....

Is this yours? or just a generic photo?
You should have two t-harness connections; BCM & Ignition. I only see one in that photo...

I have the one another user posted and was never able to get mine to work. Best case scenario was if I jumped an ignition hot wire. Then I could get it to program, or so the LED blinks claimed.

At that point I could get the truck to attempt to go through the start procedure, except all that happened was the doors locked and then the fuel pump primed. Wouldn’t ever start.

I bought the remote start kit years ago and have since attempted to install it multiple times, thinking each time I would have an “AHA!!!!!” Moment, but I never have.

I've been buying StartX the last few times, which are rebranded fortin. The kit for this truck is $135. Haven't had any issues using them, so your experience reassures me it's worth the few extra bucks for a preprogrammed plug n play...
