Need advice - Torn lower ball joint boot

Hello all,

Have a 2018 SR 4x4.

While changing the oil today I noticed the driver side lower ball joint boot had grease all over it while the passenger side is clean. See picture.

I am still under dealer warranty but I’m sure they will use my lift kit and oversized tires against me.

Anybody experienced this? I don’t see a tear in the boot it seems to just be oozing out. Can just the boot be replaced?

Replace boot. No warranty.

 

Take off new boot.. re-grease..install . As long as the bearings are good ...you good . It couldn’t hurt to see if dealer will cover .

 

Apparently the boot is not sold, as it’s part of the ball joint, which is also not sold as its part of the lower control arm.. hopefully dealer warranty will come in clutch. Heading there tomorrow.
