Hi guys, I hope I have posted my question in the right location.

Basically, I have searched online and could not find any help so I figured I ask you guys before I tried anything and fry my electronics.

I have (2) of these Clamp lights which I purchased very cheaply at Home Depot.

I was wondering if I was able to use one as a under the hood work light? Unfortunately, it has a regular wall outlet plug and I wanted to know if I was able to splice the cable and either add battery claps cables or a cigarette plug.

Just put a led strip under the hood, brighter and cooler
Sounds like all that could get hot in there

Or even better, here is an idea

Could I add a cigarette female plug to my auxiliary fuse box under my hood?
