Naviks CarPlay reviews?

Anybody added CarPlay to their entune 2 with Naviks? How is it? Any cons? I’ve heard the beat sonic system looks rough so wondering if this is better.

and before y’all go whining that I should just replace the headunit, no. I want to maintain the factory clean look. If it needs an adapter plate to fit the dash it can stay in the 90s where it was designed because it’s not going in my truck.

 

I had it in my 16 Tacoma. I had it for about 2 years without major issues. A few things about it, microphone sucked. It sounded much worse than when it was factory. Resolution of Tacoma screens sucks and it didn’t look the best. Not a fault of NAViKS. You have to hold the phone button to enable CarPlay every time you started the truck. Backup camera has a delay when in reverse. It was very tight behind the dash. Really took up space so if you have other things behind the dash it might not fit. Overall it did its job and was reliable and if you’re looking for CarPlay and nothing else’s this fits the bill. I ended up replacing the unit as I wanted a better system with better sounding speakers. I still have the naviks unit if you’re interested.
