This is more of a general warning to those who buy from Napa rather than other brands.

I recently bought a brand new steering pump from Napa and it was the worst parts experience I have ever had. The steering pump looked identical to the Toyota one I was replacing but all the mounting points where slightly off and not aligned with the bracket on the engine or the pump res. Had to cut away some metal from both the res and the pump itself to get it all to fit.

The craziest part was that my sales rep at Napa told me how bad their parts have become after Covid and that poor quality parts regardless of what they are, tend to have lots of faults.

I like Napa for the most part but please be aware that the quality of their remanufactured parts AND new parts have gone down an endless hill and everyone working there knows about it!

Pick your parts store/brand/part, it's like that with the majority of aftermarket/reman parts anymore.
Even brands that used to be good and some OEM stuff is now just trash.

Working at a shop we deal with crap like that every day, parts that don't fit right, bad out of the box, fails after a few months or less, etc...
