Hey there. Does anyone feel that I should be using Toyota oil filters instead of Napa parts? Does it matter?
    Thanks

I just want the best part for my aging truck. I wasn’t sure if Napa parts would give me the same performance or protection in my truck.

Toyota makes excellent filters and they are designed for Toyota. Buy and use Toyota brand oil filters. No debate.

NAPA is just a private parts company and relabels filters made by X company, so there's nothing inherently beneficial about running a NAPA filter over a Toyota OEM.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Napa filters are Wix, I use OEM on Toyota's but for any other manufacturer it's Napa or Wix as they are the same.

Napa Gold or the Toyota filter will do the job sufficiently. Use whichever one you can get the easiest and cheapest.

Yeah, they are made by Wix. Same filter/ different paint job. They've made decent filters for decades. I live close to a Napa auto and lurk for the half off filter sales. I've had two vehicles go over 250K using Napa. To each his own.

Buy whichever is cheapest between the two. They’re both high quality filters

And the question is which company makes Toyota filters?

There's nothing wrong with either brand, or several other choices out there.

I surfed a while for that question one day. As far as the internet, Denso makes them.

Like 'forever' with a lifetime contract?

Or just a few 'low bidder' batches? Can't imagine a high volume item like that not being re-bid every couple of years, but maybe not. If there is enough skid greasing in the right purchasing department. :D

I buy Wix cause they are made in America. :oldglory: Oh, and South America, the Ukraine, Shanghai, Poland, Canada, and Mexico.

if you use any other filter than OEM Toyota and AMSOIL 0w20 your truck will instantly self destruct without warning
