2008 GMC Yukon at about 40mph. I had his paint on about 14” of my exhaust pipe...under the 4Runner. He hit so hard that my head hitting the head rest somehow managed to break the internal seat frame. If they fixed mine I’d say OP’s is salvageable

Lol I caught that in like 3 of my posts. Once it got saved in auto correct I guess it stayed as a normal pick when typing attorney. Hey, at least one of my posts it’s spelled correctly!

Should I fix it on the others and make myself look less stupid? No.. I think people know what I mean haha. Thanks for that input man, made me laugh looking back at my posts on this thread. Lol

Nice stuff man. I’m glad they fixed yours! Hopefully it’s the same case for me. I just hope my damages are less than 10k though. Because my truck isn’t worth more than 10k at all. And if it cost more than what the value of the vehicle is worth, my insurance said it’s K.O ...

Here’s a major suggestion OP since you have an active case, possible lawsuit on your hands stop posting here regarding the accident until it’s sorted out

Glad there wasn’t any serious injuries and I hope you and your wife are covered

Glad you are safe OP. Don’t have much knowledge on this except I think people on here tend to lean more towards Totaled than fixable. But I am interested seeing what happens, so let us know.

Well, if you want to get technical, if you’re British, it’s a barrister, and for someone ungodly reason they actually wear George Washington style wigs in criminal court.

Sorry to hear about the accident. If there seems something off about that shop you should have it towed to someone you know. The offending partie's insurance has 90 days to claim fault and they will take all of that time. They then have a longer period of subrogation until they have to pay your insurance company, I think it's another 90 days. I had a similar thing happen this spring and didn't get paid fully until last month. I think the lawyer is a good call since there were injuries. Good luck with the whole process, I hope you and the wife heal well.

As per your post I didn't think there were injuries.... I was curious about a lawyer for the truck damage...

That's a total loss. 2nd gens show up all the time at my local place that sells rebuilders with less rear end damage

You and your wife will get an personal injury payout on top of the payout on your truck,so you will not be short any money.

Your Attorney will go after your under insured motorist on your insurance if the other guy is under insured.

You might want to research the value of your truck, $10k seems cheap for your truck. ...

Seems a little presumptuous to claim that. They fixed my shit in 2009 when I was rear ended and INS dumped $7900 into a 2004 Tacoma. Yes, there was frame damage too, along with cab damage and front end damage from being pushed into the vehicle in front of me.

Quick moral of the story. Frame damage doesn’t automatically equal a total. They’ll fix it if they can.

    Speaking from experience.

God damn Longo Toyota down here offered me 10.9k when I was looking for a double cab. That was 3 months ago. And they gave me a kbb value chart stating my truck was in the 10k-12k range. So that’s why I say I feel my truck is worth 10k to everyone but, a Tacoma enthusiast. Cause I otherwise had offers from a couple guys who wanted to buy my truck and they’ve offered me like 17k and that’s what I’d sell my truck private party. I’m sure as far as insurance goes they may go based off kbb value.

    Thanks for the input dude!

133k on the truck. As for mods I have 2016 4Runner trd pro shocks up front with 600lb king springs and SPC UCA, rear I have stock 4 leaf TSB leaf springs with headstrong 3 leaf progressive add a leaf retaining the overload and extended icon 2.0 shocks revalved and shimmed to fit the weight of the camper shell with my tools expo gear and bed in back. Toyo rt tires 32 10.50 . Cali raised amber pod fogs, Cali raised 3x2 ditch lights. Not much mods but, it was damn dialed in../:
