Somehow I managed to get my sunglasses jammed in the sunglass holder in the overhead console. The door will only open about 1/8". If I pull on it I can get it to come down a little further but not much.

I have tried pushing something thin up there to dislodge them without luck. It seems like I might need to try to bend something to match the curve of the bottom of the door. I am going to bend a U into a coat hanger and bend that to see if that works.

Any advice is welcome. Feel free to make smart ass remarks too if they are funny. I could use a good laugh right now.

Just pop the whole thing out, and then you can rattle them around until they're in a position that'll let you open the sunglass holder.

They are compressed in there. No rattling around.

Ive pulled the entire overhead bin down to sound deaden the roof. May be worth looking into before applying brute force.

I was going to pull the whole console out but it looks like the sunglasses compartment is closed on the back. So I'm not sure if it would help to do that.

Well, it'd still give you a better angle to work at. :notsure:

I got it! I just kept pulling on the cover until my glasses flexed enough to let it open. I thought I was going to break the door but it came loose before that happened.

    Thanks for the help!

Yeah, most of the company and personal vehicles I've had, all sucked. My 17 company F150 fits normal glasses, but it broke and won't stay closed,,, therefore hold on to them.

True. Mine fit fine though. But when I got out of my truck at work the other day I put them in wrong and forced the door closed like an idiot. They were wedged in there tight.

Still may give you a better angle and leverage to work with.

Or you could take it down and :sawzall:
