The jba’s have 2 degrees of positive caster built into them. I had my caster set at 4 degrees no problem with them.

Called SPC, thanks to Marie from Headstrong for plugging their ears. Justin at SPC said they did have a bad batch of bushings on the newer control arms. He started the warranty process, which is to send out 2 new arms. Let you know on the progress.

Kinda done with SPC. Too many issues with their stuff over years. Bad batch? That is what incoming QC is all about if you care

I agree. It's bad when the very first UCA company I pick out out of the 6 or so manufacturers is literally un usable out of the box. I didnt trust I was going to get a good pair if returned so I went JBA.

Interesting, how did they determine what batch was bad. I just bought a retrofit xAxis joint kit for my SPC arms. I might contact spc to make sure im not in "the bad batch" before installing them. Otherwise, i have had zero issues with my SPC arms... just time to replace inner bushings.

They didn't ask for number on box or anything. Basically said if you loosen main bolt and noise goes away the joint(s) are bad.

They are if you buy straight from them. If you got it from a vendor or Amazon they cant do much.

Got mine very used. Installed myself, no issues. Nice replaceable ball joint and bushings. About a year and a half an 15k miles, no issues.

I absolutely love my JBA’s. I had the older ones that had a chrome colored ball joint that rusted and they sent me out new ball joints right away. They are now coated in Cerakote that pretty much makes them completely weatherproof and very durable. I love how easy they are to change the ball joints when needed. And you can buy a cheap set of Moog ball joints (fit exactly like JBA’s) that can be carried for trail fixes if you ever have issues. JBA seems small enough still that they really care about their reputation. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for new UCA’s.

They are rubber ones but they seem super durable. I plan on getting poly bushings in the future but as of now I don’t see the need for them.

Only thing I liked about SPC was the control arm was like 3 inches away from coilover where as JBAs are maybe 3/4". As long as they don't touch each other I'm fine with it.

According to Marlin they are "synthetic elastomer".

Are the Moog balljoints identical, aside from the cerakote? I thought the boots were different?

They fit the same. The quality isn’t the same but for a cheap spare, they will work
