My recent experience with Auto Anything

    Here's what happened, and what I sent customer service at Auto Anything.
    I ordered a tailgate net for my dad's truck for Christmas, he has since put the truck up for sale, The box has been untouched since it arrived, will I be able to make a return on this?

    Here is the response I got.
    We're sorry your recent order didn't meet your expectations. We have processed your refund for $32.40. This should appear on your statement within 5 - 7 business days.

    If you shipped your return back to one of our warehouses, your return must still pass inspection prior to this issued return credit being finalized. As stated in our Terms & Conditions, all non-defective returned item(s) must be in a new and unused condition, including original packaging, parts and paperwork.

    At AutoAnything, we're not satisfied until you are. So we hope you'll return to our website and give us the opportunity to prove why we're your number one source for all things automotive. Whether you're looking to improve your vehicle's performance or simply want to spiff up your ride, we've got you covered.

    They basically told me it would cost more for them to send it back to the manufacturer and they would refund my purchase price and to keep the tailgate net. Its refreshing to have a customer service experience like this, and I thought I would share it.

    I have had the same level of customer service from them. They will price match too. There is a AA rep here on the board and he is great to work with.

    Did they say somewhere else that they don't want it back? Because that statement you just quoted doesn't say that. It says they have processed the return and it will be finalized when they get it back and the wharehouse inspects it and finds it to be unopened and in good condition.

    I'm even more impressed that their return policy is good for 30 days, and this was 34 days after reciept. They could have told me to bug off.

    I have had this same situation with some Amazon products. Diapers for the kiddos. They sent us a package of the wrong size, told us to keep them after we filed a return. We donated them as they were to small for us to use.
