    Hello everyone. I just picked up my new 2021 Off Road 4wd in Cement this week. This is my 5th Tacoma (1987, 1999, 2003, 2013, now 2021).

    I can't tell you all how much I have benefited from all the threads and discussions here on Tacomaworld. It helped me make a bunch of decisions on which mods to do.

    Although I am still going to get my front windows tinted, and a 2 inch lift added (with Bilstein 5100s), here is what I have done so far (all in the last two days!):

    * Upgraded to 265/75/r16 BF Goodrich KO2s
    * Lomax Tonneau Cover (from @GotExhaust - they were great to work with!!)
    * Clazzio Leather Seats (in Black and Dark Grey with Light Grey Stitching) - this are amazing, but were a pain to install. I used Scotchguard on all the carpets and cloth seats before installing the Clazzios.
    * Tyger Star Armor Step Rails (I bought the rubber tread pads from Harbor Freight to cover up the dumb stars like folks recommended here on Tacomaworld, but they won't stick and so I have to figure out some other way to get them to adhere). (UPDATE - thanks to some suggestions I received yesterday, I have now used gorilla glue and it worked perfectly - I have added a picture below to show the difference from the original).
    * Husky X-Act Floorliners
    * Tuffskinz Mudflaps (with 4wd in Cement)
    * Desert Does It Driver's Seat Rear Spacers (I put in 1 inch of spacers and it helped a ton - I have a really bad lower back and this is a must have for anyone who deals with back pain).
    * Black Emblem Overlays
    * Black Metal Tailgate Inserts
    * AVS Low Profile Ventshades
    * Center Console and Glovebox organizers
    * TRD Skidplate
    * Tacoma Bedmat
    * I also used Car Guys Liquid Wax and then after it cured for 6 hours, used Car Guys Hybrid Wax as a second coat.

    I am extremely happy with how it has turned out and I really appreciate all of you on here. This is an amazing community and one of which I am proud to be a part.

    I see you put seat spacers on as one of your mods. I thought 2020 and newer Tacoma’s have 8-way adjustable seats?

    They do have power seats, which are great, but they still don't allow for much in the way of leveling it so that your butt doesn't sink down. It basically just lifts the seat up, rather than actually tilting it forward (which is what the leveler does - and what makes such a difference for my back). The spacer allows the power seat to be much more comfortable (at least for me). I am 6'2'' and so didn't need the height, but instead just the level. My wife has a 2018 4runner and the seat sits perfectly level and is great on my back. That is what I was able to accomplish with the 1 inch spacer.

    Thanks, man. Yeah, I read so so so many threads on Tacomaworld about what everyone else had done and decided that this was the package that made most sense to me given how much there is to choose from.

    You picked a few of the same things i did.
    Same Tonneau cover which really like. Same mud guards. I do like the seat covers you have. I got the neoprene ones in similar colors but the leather looks great.

    Yeah, I found a discount code here on Tacomaworld for $100 off for the Clazzios and then Clazzio.com had these leather ones premade and so I jumped on them. I hear that some folks wait a 4-6 weeks to get theirs, but I got mine in like 4 days! They are really really nice, super comfortable, and look better than the OEM leather in my opinion (and about $4200 cheaper!). The only problem I had was that on the drivers power seat, I had to cut the bottom of the seat cover about an inch in order to avoid the airbag cord and that caused some problems when I tightened them down - ended up pulling out the seam and then had to sew it back together in order to get it to tighten down enough, ha!, but it is hidden underneath and so no big deal.

    Nice truck OP. For those harbor freight pads, I use them and I used a plethora of gorilla super glue on the back of the pads to adhere them. I can stand over them with a pressure washer and they won’t move an inch. I’ve had zero issues with them moving or coming up. Hope this helps!!

    Perfect!!! Much appreciated. I will get some tomorrow and get them installed. I was surprised by the fact that the pads didn't stick AT ALL with just the self adhesive. Then, I accidentally dropped one of the pads on my garage floor and it took everything to get it back off, ha! So, apparently the powder coat on the Tygers is serious business! I love the steps but just want to get those stars covered up (and also gain some actual traction since today when I was out in the mountains it rained and the steps were super slippery. Thanks for the tip!!

    Yes I agree, the stars are cheesy. I had to get them covered as well and harbor freight was the perfect solution. I wanted to make sure they didn’t go anywhere so that’s why I basically dipped the back of those adhesive pads in super glue and placed them on. They have held up so well. I’d have to take a crow bar and blow torch to get them off hahaha. Also, yes the powder coating has held up well but I also live in a state where there’s no such thing as moisture. Rain, yeah right what’s that.....7 months and still waiting...
    good luck OP, you are off to a great start with the mods. I wish I could say I’m done but I’d be lying lol. It never ever ends.

    No doubt. I sometimes wish I never discovered this site. I’d have thousands of dollars back that I have sunk into this truck :rofl: O well, you only live once and tomorrow isn’t guaranteed so why not live on the edge sometimes :thumbsup:

    It's a good question. My wife is much shorter, and I have an 11 year old son, so they both use them and it makes things much easier for them. For me, I really like the look of them, and I got these in particular because they do add some protection for the rocker panel and protect especially from doors from other vehicles opening into the truck.
