I have not had any issues with my Wildpeaks, but so far I only have 1k miles on them.

    ?

I never had any vibrations on any of my bfg sets. They all rode great.

I proved my point and you were obviously wrong, not sure what your problem is. You need to stop making things up chief.

Show me where i said my tires vibrated? Ill wait.

All good and happy here on the WP-AT3 in 265 75 16

This is my first pick-up and I am actually impressed by how smooth and quiet these tires are on the road... Only been up to 90 MPH so far (- going downhill) - and no vibrations... - I do not expect to go any faster than that. ;)

I was impressed - particularly once I took them offroad in the ice and snow. We've been on the Rubicon trail ( :D ) and they've done really well. (- Nothing too crazy as far as wheeling - of course. Just playing a bit...)

I thought the OEM tires were quite good on the road (solid and quiet) - but they were weak on traction while climbing in the dry... and in the snow.

I wanted a bit more thread for snow and dirt traction - and since I planned to change; also wanted a slightly bigger tire - without adding too much of a weight penalty... These have been great so far!

No issues balancing - but I did check with the tech after the install, and he mentioned that thee were no issues and he did not expect any problems. I pushed for details and he mentioned that two of them were much easier to balance than the other two... Two only needed a bit of weight...

Millions of tires are sold... I am sure experiences will vary accross users.

Inexperienced techs, Badly installed weights, etc. are variables that are not accounted for... are any of these really BAD tires by design? I do not think so...

Are there bad batches / tires of either of these out there? this is very likely...

On my first set of WP I initially had a steering wheel shimmey about 55 mph. I got an alignment and a rebalance and no issue since. When I got my second set I immediately got on the freeway and zero issues.

Falken is a budget tire company. Great price with decent to average performance. /end thread. Don't let anyone tell you different. There is a reason why you can buy them so cheap and there are QC issues.

Key words: "after light offroading". You either need to learn how to read or you just like to lie. Ive never had issues with balancing. I said they are hard to balance sometimes(just like any other tires ever made by human) But again, nice try.

Im done with you, have a good one bud.

Edit: fogot to mention that the issue was a lost weight, nothing to do with the tires.

What you experienced is fairly common, Wildpeaks are very hit or miss. I went through the exact same thing. Thankfully, Discount tire was happy to refund me after several bad tires, many attempts at balancing and vibration issues that could not be resolved. While my replacement tires were being installed, the manager of the shop said they have a lot of Wildpeak problems.

Here is a thread of people that had the same issues.

Had the same exact thing happen to me, OP. Ended up with KO2s after. Tire shop tech told me he sees the most issues with the wildpeak at3.

Everyone has their tire they love and purchased and it is just human nature to defend what you have invested in. I owned one set of KO2’s on my 2015 F150 4x4 but when I traded it for my 2018 F150 I went with Wildpeaks and my 2020 Tacoma I kept with them. No real reason I switched other then my Discount tire guy gave me a good price on my 2015 to try them and told me he would buy them back if I did not like them.

I found both tires to work well in all conditions, neither was “the best” for snow/mud but they are not dedicated snow/mud tires. Both handled well on pavement, I found the KO2’s to be noticably louder while driving highway speeds but that is about all. I did not have any issues with balancing them however when I went to look for tires for my Tacoma DT, my dealership, and another off-road tires store near me ALL told me they no longer recommend KO2’s and mentioned the reason for balance, road handling, and customer feedback *shrugs*…. Maybe Falken has better relations with dealers then BFG does now.

As far as price, they are the same now, at least in 285 sizes.

I found them for that price on Amazon a year+ ago. FYI, these are 245/75 size.

I got 265/75/16 BFG's, not too happy with them. I've had them balanced twice, cant get the vibration out of them. I've just gotten used to it now, some roads they vibrate, some not. Toyota dealer said they have a lot of road force on the balancer.

I have had two sets of Falkens already (P rated). No balancing problems but both sets wore out in 22,000 to 23,000 miles. Wear was completely even across the tread and they were rotated every 5,000 miles. I just bought a set of Toyo AT3s. Cost about twice as much as the Falkens but will be a bargain if I get 45,000 miles out of them (rated for 60,000 miles).

Where are you buying the Falkens, they have a mileage rating also.

Mine lasted 32k miles and I got a pro-rated rebate for $300 off.
