    Hi all,

Wanted to show my DIY Raptor liner I did my whole Taco in. By far I’m not a body guy, not even a novice at it. It defiantly won’t hurt my feelings if some wtf were you thinking comments are posted. I actually would like feedback.

I used the Raptor tintable liner so I could get the red to somewhat match the cardinal red my Taco came factory. Only to later learn I could have ordered the exact match. The one thing I did that I probably didn’t have to do was take it down to the bare metal. I wanted to make sure that the crap clear coat was completely gone.

Anyways here are some pictures of the progress from start to finish. I did replace the front fenders with new ones. If I remember right each fender has 8 bolts and with the truck being 20 years old almost every bolt broke off so I had to drill and tap new ones. I got real familiar with the threading tool.

Looks good. I was looking and thinking "that looks like my buddies neighborhood in RoundRock". Which of course really could be just about anywhere USA except for the green still around.

    Close to BlueBonnet Elem.?

It was. I had a little helper. I gave her the electric sander and she went to town.

I sprayed on. Took one of the old front fenders and tested different PSI settings to get the right texture I liked. I ended up using 60 PSI for my setting.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I so want to do this to my truck. But my truck is my daily driver and that looks like more than a weekend project.

The other thing that makes me hesitate is I have no place to spray it inside... I know people do this by spraying outside... but my luck, it would be just to the point of being a little tacky and a swarm of bees would decide to dive bomb it.

First huge accolades for doing this yourself, especially knowing you aren't an expert at this. (As a side note, everyone starts somewhere no matter what it's in). Second I think it turned out really good and looks like you really put some work into the prep. Last, this might be a great alternative for me to do to my truck one of these days. I could change my truck from black to the red.
