Pretty easy. The hardest part was the bolt behind the fender. I almost color matched the light instead of black but I'm glad I went with black. Here are the pics.

Nice job! Really want to do this really bad but still not brave enough to do it
So the hard part is taking out the bolt behind the fender? What did you use to seal it back? Any vids you followed to do this? Will this also work for the tail lights? Thanks in advance.

Heat Score. At least where I live. Blacked out lights are considered riced by the cops. Mabe different where you are at. If so. Live and let live.

Sealing it is done with 3M ribbon sealer. You could probably use several diff products to do this. I did search for video to show how some of the clips came apart just so I didn't break them. I would recommend getting the really wide blue painters tape to tape off your clear lens with so you don't scratch them getting them in and out. Also be very careful wiping the inside of the clear lens. Make sure it's with a very soft cloth to avoid scratches. Tail lights are a no go from what I have seen.

Thanks! BTW. Did you scrape off the old sealant/glue while it was still warm? I might try this soon, just need some good tips and tricks on how to do this. Hard to find videos for BHLM specifically for the Tacomas.

When I did my bhlm I just put the 2 halves together and pressed it tightly together with the original factory sealant and stuck the headlight in the oven for 12 min and pressed the edges together and held it together for a good 5 minutes. I used a sealant around the edges and rubbed it in with my finger and I've never had a problem with fogging or leaks. Washed my truck and soaked the headlights with a water hose countless times and left my truck out in the rain. Been good to me ever since.

I scraped off what I could but it was stubborn. I got it hot and used ribbon sealer. I think your could use the old sealant really as long as it was reassembled with care.

I used a high temp flat black but didn't like the color and painted over it with a satin black. I think satin looks best in my opinion.
