My 22’ TRD Sport Quick Review

Hi All, finally picked up my MGM DCSB V6 4x4 22’ TRD Sport about 2 weeks ago and wanted to write up a quick subjective review given how helpful I found others feedback/reviews here in shaping my decision process. Overall I’m extremely pleased with the truck and most every aspect has met or exceeded my expectations. A few notes below that I want to share given some of the prevalent opinions around here that I found to be somewhat untrue/unfair:

- The Sport suspension is really great on-road, the truck almost drives like a much sportier car through the twisties than I expected. Very little body roll and sharp response through the steering wheel. I will be off-road < 5% of the time so the Sport makes more sense in my situation (plus Skewp!)

- The V6 is pretty good overall, certainly there could be a little more grunt in the lower end of rev spectrum but once she’s going it’s more than strong enough for a truck. Pretty satisfied power wise and I’m coming from a SCV6 LR4.

- The stock radio/sound is pretty decent especially when using good source material. It does lack some low end but that’s to be expected given no sub. I was expecting hot garbage the way people describe it here but it’s good enough to satisfy me for now.

She came with the XP Predator package from SET which included the step bars, wheels, and tires. It was really the only option I had on wish list when I started search. Not economically optimal as technically the components could be bought for less separately but nice to pick it up in ready to roll shape

That is a sharp truck! What brand and model tires are those( Goodyear)? , looks really good. I have an MGM SR5 and love it. Congratulations on your new truck.
