I have the air filter that you clean and spray oil, I touched around the air intake when this happened before, and it went away for 6 months, so I did it again, and maybe it's good again " where is that sensor exactly so I can look at it close up, and if needed what part number, and how to remove it, the truck has 131K miles on it, I just got the part today for the shifter and on the way home this happened to it, go figure I can't win, last week the windshield cracked

I think that code is for the Intake Air Temp.
I also believe it’s a function of the MAF Sensor.

It’s usually located just behind the air filter box.
Check to make sure it is plugged in good.

It happened, today, I reset it, I drove 20 seconds, and it came back on, I got home, reset again, and waited about 5 minutes running, "it did not act up", I see two items plugged in, I removed both, and put back the connectors, and drove around now its good WTF, I'm confused, to be honest, I feel its a bad wire issue, or connector maybe but once I mess with it it does not go bad when I want it to go bad, its got a mind of its own

    its not mystical

U have a good idea & proximity where Ur issues emanate

use ‘ Contact Cleaner ‘ ( alcohol sometimes WD40) to be certain NO contaminated faulty contaminated connections

no need to be aggressive (age is a factor ) trace the wiring to be certain not worn or frayed

    good at both ends

now U might have narrowed matters down

could be either of the sensors in that area.................price them out

if U replace 1 or both dont cheap out

    while OEM always costs more

there is a reasonable expectation OEM will perform consistently the same in function & longevity

First thing I would do is replace that oiled filter with a good dry filter whether that’s the cause or not. Then look at this link for other possible causes.
