    I have an idea

    eBay knockoff bushwacker flares
    Supposedly wider for bigger tires
    Like $150 vs ripoff $400

and maybe bolt flaps to them

the flaps, and the flares, should both cut down on flinging

and maybe give an area to mold a liner and attach it

question is how good are those flares. Only one way to find out I guess.

My OEM stock flaps are still in place on my 2014. The screws on them back out a little over time and the clips get brittle and have to be replaced as they go, but other than that they are fine. Only issue is the "4x4" on the rear ones fades out gradually and gets junky looking over time. When mine did this I removed and cleaned them and replaced the "in your face" bright white color with a subtle faint gray using a paint-type Sharpie.

    V1 obsolete
    hose clamps to bumper tube

when I figure out a top mount for v2,
plan is figure out a bottom metal plate
    Bend it for a hook
    Attach chain for angle

    like this guy did
    IMG_8271.jpg

    current tires are tall skinny
Might cut flaps wide to accommodate future different tire width sizes

sucks how the law guidelines to look at what different states require are all super different

would be cool if there was just one that made sense

kinda like how there is no debate on that gasoline is required in the tank for an engine to run

I could use and bend a Semi flap bottom weight
    Cut to trim
IF it’s not made of lead and stupid heavy
    Plus ugly chrome…

    or
Plain flat bar stock and hardware
