I lucked upon a set of factory mud guards 2 days after getting truck. They look great. Also got the factory rubber bed mat. Got both for $156 (total incl tax) with a loyalty discount for getting truck. The mat will keep my chain saw case and other plastic bins from sliding around. Nice and thick mat with cut outs for tie downs near tailgate.

Nice - I just bought the mud guards off epay and already have the bed liner from Amazon. I think I paid $80 for each so yeah similar pricing.

You have the part numbers for the mud guards? Just picked up a 2016 Double Cab TRD OR and it didn't come with them.

Part number for mud guards : PT 345-35170. Each mud guard has a unique part number with the last 3 digits different (I believe it's 3). This number is the complete set. I got them from dealer parts counter. I believe they are difficult to find. Dealer told me this was first set they got.

You can get the mud guards from your local dealer for 85 bucks and that's with them installing them

I'll happily sell you my stock mud flaps as soon as I can find a flexible set.
the stock ones are fine for rain, but not if they are going to hit snow or rocks etc.

anyone know if a good flexible mudguard?

Eric801, are you saying the factory mud guards will break due to not being flexible? My '99 mud guards had a metal frame (attaching to fenders) and flexible rubber flaps. I have thought about the concern. I guess I will have to see how they hold up?

I see these on EBay all the time. Most have 4x4 painted on them.

Mine have not yet but I am sure they are going to if I were to hit a mud hole. If they do not break they certainly will make for a unnecessary plow. We did not get enough snow up here this year to be concerned about but most years the mud guards durability will be tested.

for me it's the snow burm getting out of my driveway after the snow plow has gone by. Bob and you guys up here in Canada know that luck be has it you'll shovel the driveway and burm, back in the house to finish your morning coffee and the plow goes by again.

What i'm getting at is the hard plastic stock mud guard doesn't flex so if it hits something like a snow burm or rock, mud hole etc it'll rip off the mounts. My flaps from my 2gen didn't 'break' but the mount holes deformed and the mounting holes became damaged.

The stock mud guard works fine for rain and highway use but not for off road, snow etc.
we need a flexible rubber or hinging guard.

Though I found flexible guards on the net they didn't have the correct mounting set up for my 2nd gen.
I've not looked at the mounting set up for my 3rd gen

as for how much I'd sell mine for depends more on when I find a replacement. Keep in mind I'm in Canada and the cost to ship to the states probably not worthwhile.

hey Bob, saddened to hear your low snow pack, I gather you are talking in town. you live in snow belt, I"ve not skied up your way....one day I hope to actually get up there
    cheers

the Valley floot around town is void of snow. It has been raining which means snow up top. Smithers would be the place to ski. Here I think it is pretty much hit and miss. Know all about the F%$/$%"$g snow plow driver and my driveway and you are right the berm would take the mudguards off in a heartbeat.

    Take Care

Yep there are several threads discussing this at length. Search forums for "Plasticolor" They are floppy style, mount with the OEM screws and they cost a fraction of the OEM stiff mudguards do. The stiff molded plastic style mud guards like Weathertech and OEM are great for On Road driving BUT if you plan to go off road they are at high risk of getting pinched and ripped off, also could strip screws out with them too.

I got the OEM mat thrown into my deal.... I really like it, thick for protection and stops alot of sliding, looks good too!
