I find the stock mud flaps on my TRD to be too long in the front. I want to replace all four of my mud flaps with some shorter flaps that are just plain black. I'm open to either plastic or rubber flaps. Any suggestions???

I have Husky liner mud flaps. I like them. The extent of my 4 wheeling is forest roads and the stockers scraped on everything. I have yet to scrape these.

I've wheeled with my husky flaps and bent them 90 degrees on several occasions. They flex and bend quite well and pop right back into shape.

Just bought my truck, I didn't even notice 3 of 4 were missing. I'm thinking about taking the last one off for now. Do the stock ones break easy? There isn't even a speck of mud or clay under the truck and I don't think the old guy I bought it from was 4 wheeling much.

I just trimmed 6" off of mine front and rear, they look much better and are still very functional. Plus the 4wd is gone as well. Keeps them guessing. :spy::spy::spy:

Rok Blox if you like rally/beach/bro style, Husky's if you want a stronger, shorter, OEM looking replacement.

Exactly what I'm going to do very soon. I live in NH and this will be my first winter with the Taco. I'm thinking that those long flaps will hold wet sticky snow and the snow buildup in the wheel wells will not be good. Not sure why Toyota made them so long, especially knowing that there was a better than even chance they'd be taken off road. I've taken mine off road a few time since I got it in September and even on pretty easy roads I've felt them hit the road.

I run the huskies up front and oem in the rear, the rears drag when I'm off roading but I don't mind. If you need pricing on husky's let me know. I carry them through my shop in MA.

Jason, thanks...I need to get through the holidays and then I will take a look at my options. Cutting them down may be the most expedient (and cheapest) option for me for right now...I have the tools to do it. If the flaps turn out ugly I'll definitely get in touch with you.

How well do these hold up in deep, crusty snow or sand? I just bought a set, basically on impulse, because they were used and very cheap. I don't get much snow where I live, but sand is a big concern in my location, and I do occasionally travel back to "snow country" to visit family.

    Husky.

I actually only went with them in the front and they look fine in contrast to the rears. if i remember they are 3-3.5" shorter. From what i ready before the rears were less of a difference, and kept them stock.

This is exactly what I did....couldn't be happier. I think they even match the contour of the truck better than OEM.

As rigid as they are, they do bend, going backwards at least. I slid backward down my steep drive and they got dragged on snow banks, they creased slightly and bent a little but didn't break or dismount. They bent back and can't tell now. Front would be a different story, but have yet to hit them on anything
