Anybody selling a bracket to move the rear view mirror up? Maybe someone smarter than I came up with a diy solution

    Thanks in advance:fistbump:

There are brackets to raise it, but before we go into that, I have to mention something that catches a surprising number of people.

The mirror has two points of articulation. It raises up almost to the headliner, stock.

You are aware of that, right?

No problem. Seriously, you would be surprised how many people don't realize that.

If you decide that's not enough for you, and or want to add and action camera mount as well I have the Bird Dawg Industries Mirror Riser with Ram ball mount and it has been great.

I highly recommend adding additional 3M trim adhesive to it though as your end up giving the mirror a lot of leverage on the mount and then more weight as well and without the additional support it can unexpectedly remove the mount directly from the glass for you.

Another trick that works for plain (without a compass) rear view mirrors on a few cars I’ve owned is to rotate the mirror 180 degrees bringing the pivot point to the bottom of the mirror, thus raising the mirror upward for more sight line clearance.

I figured that one out awhile ago when I didn't see a semi coming on from an on ramp. Damn mirror blocked the whole thing! Got home & shoved it up to the roof

Yep. I had one of those brackets to relocate the mount higher in my 2nd gen and recovered that when it was totaled out and insurance took ownership, was starting to take the mirror in my 2016 off so I could install the bracket and realized that it would move up to just about touching the the overhead console without any changes.
