Moving back up camera from mirror to radio??

Have an 09 Tacoma, with the camera in the rear view mirror; is it possible to wire it to my new sony touchscreen instead? Any help is much appreciated!

 

These are threads that I used when I connected the existing OEM camera in my 2009 to my JVC unit. My truck didn't actually have the backup camera option, so I didn't have the special mirror (only the camera was factory installed). I recall that some people successfully wired the factory camera to BOTH their stereo and the special mirror. Be aware that the mirror currently supplies 5vdc to the camera, so if you do disconnect the mirror from the circuit you will have to build a 5vdc supply.
