hey all, i am currently working on my morimoto mini D2s projectors and i am stuck. so i bought the gatling gun shrouds as they were really the only ones i liked, anyway, comes to find out i have to modify the shrouds to make them work (which I'm fine with) but i am stuck as to where or how to modify them. has anyone who has the D2s projects and gatling gun shrouds modified the shrouds to make them fit and work? can you show me pictures of how you modified them as well? i have the projectors mounted all i need to do is mount the shrouds and close up the headlights and my retrofit is done

Pretty sure you have to buy the shroud centric ring off TRS to adapt the shroud to the smaller projector.

I tried gatling shrouds on Mini D2s and they would not work.

We had to cut the inner T shaped taps inside the shroud. There are 4 of them I think and then it pressed down onto the projector.

Friend didn't like how they looked so he is going to be changing them to something else

from what i read the centric rings don't work with the shrouds and mini D2s...

yeah I'm in the same boat one shroud i cut out the T tabs and tried it close fit but didn't look right, the other shroud i slightly cut the tabs so i could push them back and still didn't sit right. i even tried glueing back the tabs i cut out to make them fit better still didn't look right either. so i think I'm gonna go ahead and buy the apolo shrouds that most tacoma guys run with their retrofits... i just really liked the look of the gatling gun shrouds which is why i chose them...

im in no hurry to get them done anyway i still have to do some more trimming of the back of the housing anyway to fit the projectors a little better as i can't get the ballast to plug into the bulb its off by literally just a hair

My mistake. I had to use the dremel on the inside of my Orbit shrouds to make them fit on my TL projectors. I accidentally cut through the outside and patched it up with plasti-stik from JB Weld, and sanded it flush. Then I painted it of course.
