Anyone know if the M6 lifting eye nuts fit the bolts used on the Thule factory installed racks?

Got the lifting nuts in and tried to screw them on and.... they are too large! I will try to see if I can find the correct size. Weird that the "factory install" did not use the actual correct screws, ot my lifting nuts labeled "M6" are not actually M6? My topper is a Century topper and Thule rack with aero bars factory installed. No hardware store near me have the lifting nuts so I think I’ll try to find the correct but before spending more money on another size lifting nut.

Got some M5 wingnuts at Lowe’s, the kinda fit. The bottles look like they were cut, so hard to get anything on there really.

Nice idea; I used your recommendations. What shell lights are you using?

Mine are 5mm bolts, I ordered the M6 lifting eye nuts without checking.

Ditto. I ordered the M6 eye nuts before receiving my Yakima tracks (Feb '19) and associated mounting bolts. I believe the Yakima track bolts to be 5mm.

Did anyone confirm the Yakima tracks bolt size?

Did removing the nut and nut cap affect the seal on the shell at all?

I also want to chime in with the M6 nuts did not fit the Yakima tracks on my Snugtop. That’s what I get for not checking (think I would learn, since I’ve done this before). So I had to order the M5 ones instead.

There is extra thread hanging down from the Yakima track bolt that I put a nut on.

That picture really needs to be rotated. I must have posted that after a couple/few. :drunk:

Hey folks! I want to add a cargo net to the ceiling of my leer 122. I don't have a roof rack system, so no bolts coming through that I can screw onto. Also don't have a headliner. So I'm wondering if anyone has successfully glued hooks into their fiberglass ceiling, and with what glue?

Will really only be using the net to keep blankets up and out of the way, so not too much weight.

Looking at these hooks as they seem to have a decent amount of surface area to glue to https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B..._title_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A36S3TN3RHIXXN
