i just bought 2 fire extinguishers,auto/marine. would like to mount one in the bed, and one in the cab of the truck. i have a acc cab, thought about 1 in between the jump seats. i have a camper shell , thought about 1 horizontal through the bed wall. i also have some quickfists, that i could use the bed rail system. i think i should bolt+nut, don't like the idea of just screws. any thoughts and or pics? thanks

I'd opt for something specially made for the exact size/shape fire extinguisher you have - KEY being ... QUICK RELEASE

I was just at home depot, menards, and farm and fleet and everyone i asked to help me find something to secure a fire extinguisher with a quick release had no idea. I'm not very happy! I know what I want to do with it, I want to mount it to the forward/backward seat adjust. does anyone have a home made recipe for doing this??

I found online some Grip Fists but they are a bit expensive and i'd need four of them. I need them by next thursday for friday-sunday at the 49th annual total off road rally in dresser wi so i was going to have them shipped in three days but that costs a lot more than this project is worth. So i looked on youtube one more time this morning and found a video of a guy mounting one in his car with 2" velcro. So i went and bought 15 feet and got mine and my dads secured to the seat adjustment bar on the drivers seat. It slides around a little bit so i might need to modify my idea but the extinguisher is in there and can be easily removed.

Thank you for your suggestions Janster!!!!!! [is that a GMC in your icon picture?? oh yup a 2016 canyon... lol this is tacoma world forum isn't it? or did i accidentally sign up for the gmc forum? lol jk! beautiful ride!!

IMG_1756.jpg IMG_1755.jpg I went with 2. The Bracketeer for the passenger seat and a Kidde mount for the 5lb bottle bolted to the tailgate panel.
