Hi All - I have asked this question in the Outdoors subforum and have not gotten a reply yet (low traffic), so I'm redirecting to this subforum. Please delete this threads mods if cross posting is not allowed.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a 3rd gen. Tacoma sporting a Prinsu cab rack, and I'm looking to put in 23Zero awnings (Peregrine 180R and Shower Enclosure) for this summer.

I'm casting a wide net to ask how to approach mounting the awnings; the Peregrine 180R has a supplied stout L-bracket that unfortunately does not match the Prinsu cross bar channels, so I am wondering if I should get a separate Prinsu awning mounting bracket.

To the 23Zero owners: how did you mount your awning?

1/4” X 3/4” stainless carriage bolts. The heads slide into the 80/20 slots. Stainless washer, and nylon washer nut on the top of the bracket. Or you could use T-slot nuts, but I think the carriage bolts are easier to work with.

I suppose the problem with that is that only 2 or 3 of the slots in the L-bracket can be utilized. I can also drill through the cross bar but I want to avoid doing that as much as possible.

My awning is held on with L brackets. I’m using 3 of the possible 4 holes with carriage as mentioned above. The awning isn’t going anywhere, it is solid. Even if I hit a tree with it, the slotted aluminum rail that attaches the awning to the steel brackets would be the failure point. Do whatever makes you happy tho.

Spacers below an L bracket so when it is raised up you can extend the L bracket past the top side of the rack.

I know it's been a while but did you ever figure out how to mount it and what did you do. I'm looking into a 270 and had similar questions. Would you please post a picture. Thanks

This is what I did. Raided all the 3/4in spacer tube things from the lowes hardware aisle and then used long 1/4x20 bolts through the t-slots.

Could someone post a picture? I'm also trying to mount the 23zero 180R awning on a prinsu rack.
    Thanks!
