I picked up some slightly used BFGs and thought I'd try mounting them at home with all this Covid business. It's actually not to hard... BFG KO2s on 4Runner wheels.

Cool. Now how do you balance them?

I'm going to look for a place that will do a lifetime balance and alignment. Given the size/weight of the wheel/tire combo and off-road use combined with suspension tweaks it's worth it to me.

Good luck. Let us know if you find a shop that will do it. All the national chains won’t touch a lifted truck and the ones that do won’t honor the lifetime warranty. I know a few people that have gotten the deal but they all had an inside hookup.

I just completed the BMC and a lift yesterday. The rear fits without lift easy but the front is a little more complicated. I have a bumper so no rub there but without the BMC it runs there. I also found rubbing on the stock uca turning at about 60% and greater.

Oh man sorry, didn't realize that was you! Ok I did go ahead and make it through. It's not that long. You do make some great points - especially safety - although when you had the wheel on the wooden block seemed a little precarious at that point. Good on you. I would have just cleaned the wheels and tires and treated them as you did after cleaning.

Sure would be nice to have all the not so complex (powered) wheel and tire tools - maybe when I grow my shop.

No problem. It's hard to find a balance. That block was just what I had around. I was try to show how you can make it work with with what you have.
