So I mounted these for fun because there is so much misinformation out there about rubbing/fitment, etc and I had all 3 laying around.

    Wheels: 4Runner Pro wheels in 17x7 ET4
    Tires: 285/70-17 KO2 C rated
Car: Stock '17 Tacoma TRD Pro
    Alignment: From the factory

I checked full lock both ways, and loaded the side I mounted the wheel on. It did not rub anywhere. Closest is to the plastic in the wheel well, but the clearance never changed. See below for more pictures.

Let me know your thoughts. Thinking this is what i'm going to order next week for tires...

Can I put 285/70-17 KO2 C rated tires on my factory height 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport? Are any other modifications required? I'm trying to put the beefiest tire on the truck without any modifications/lift.

I have the factory Toyota Sport wheels. 17 x 7.5

Test it in reverse full lock. Take it for a ride on some bumpy roads while making sharp turns and report back... I suspect your findings might be different.

No rubbing when flexed on an incline or decline and in reverse as well. :thumbsup:IMG_7851.jpgIMG_5237.jpgIMG_3160.jpgIMG_7894.jpg

The alignment must be spot on... thats a 1 in 100 chance, id say.

    Great!

No pics in “full lock” means nothing honestly.

He has a pro, they are higher from the factory and those wheels have different width and offset than the off road wheels that can rub UCAs with 285 tires. They should be the perfect offset for it to not rub.

1” higher wouldnt matter. Its not just UCA rubbing, its also rubbing on the cab mount / fenders.

Many people lifted 2+ inches, trimmed, CMC’ed with similar offset wheels and still rub....

OP is very lucky, definitely not the norm.

Full lock is not where it's closest to the cab mount or fender liner. Half to 3/4 lock is. Ill upload some new pictures when I get home tonight

Factory alignment as in, you installed the tires then got it aligned? OR you just installed and left it aligned as it was from the factory?

Drive your truck Offroad somewhat hard then report back. Looks like youre flexing on concrete.

So hopefully this thread doesn’t get everyone thinking they can put on those tires and not have any rub. I have 265/70/17 tires on some SCS Ray 10s, stock suspension, and it will run from time to time.

Are you confusing turning your wheels and flexing? We’re talking about articulation and flexing off road on some rocks and hills....
